Families interested in homeschooling in Brazil are watching developments in the Brazilian Congress with keen interest.
In September 2018 the Brazilian Supreme Court ruled that a law would need to be passed to regulate homeschooling in order for it to be considered a lawful means for parents to educate their children. And now recently elected President, Jair Bolsonaro, has proposed a bill which if passed will legalise homeschooling in Brazil.

Whilst the legality of homeschooling in Brazil is still in limbo, this form of education is becoming popular. The homeschooling advocates, HSLDA, estimate that there are around 3,200 families currently homeschooling in Brazil with this number growing rapidly.
Once the legal situation is resolved, Wolsey Hall will be delighted to assist families looking for structured homeschooling courses suitable for children from Primary through Lower Secondary to IGCSE and A Levels. Students passing their Cambridge (CAIE) IGCSE and A Level exams can be accepted by top universities worldwide.See our Fees
