Homeschooling a child with dyslexia
Wolsey Hall Oxford understands that when homeschooling a dyslexic child a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach is unlikely to work. Our courses can support dyslexic students in 3 key areas:
Flexibility:
- Families are able to organise the school day in a way that suits the student
- Work can be set at the learning level of the student
- Families will receive support from their Student Progress Manager to help manage the timetable
- Courses can be run alongside other commitments

Pace:
- Students are able to work at a pace that suits them
- This allows time to develop good study skill habits
- There are no demands to keep up with the class
Understanding
- Experienced Tutors and Student Progress Managers are helpful and patient
- Positive feedback from Tutors focuses on strengths to help build self-esteem
- Specialist teachers are available to support with additional tuition as an additional service if needed
- Our Learning Support Team are on hand to offer advice and guidance
