Single award courses – each count as one IGCSE

Cambridge IGCSE Combined Science

Gives our learners the opportunity to study Biology, Chemistry and Physics, each covered in separate syllabus sections. It is a single award qualification, earning one grade. Learners gain an understanding of the basic principles of each subject through a mix of theoretical and practical studies. Our current Combined Science course prepares learners for the Extended Tier papers (grades A* to E). We have released a second Combined Science course which prepares learners for Core Tier papers only (grades C to G). Please note, learners studying this course will not have the pre-requisite knowledge for the A level Science courses.

Cambridge IGCSE Biology

Helps our learners to understand the biological world in which they live and take an informed interest in Science and scientific developments. The syllabus includes the basic principles and concepts that are fundamental to the subject including nutrition and transport in plants and humans and our influence on ecosystems. This course is excellent preparation for A level studies in Biology.

Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry

Helps our learners to develop skills that are relevant to the study and practice of Chemistry. The syllabus includes the basic principles and concepts that are fundamental to the subject including the particulate nature of matter and chemical energetics. This course is excellent preparation for A level studies in Chemistry.

Cambridge IGCSE Physics

Helps to enable our learners to acquire sufficient knowledge and understanding to develop an informed interest in scientific matters and understand the technological world in which they live. The syllabus includes the basic principles and concepts that are fundamental to the subject including mechanics, electricity and atomic physics. This course is excellent preparation for A level studies in Physics.

Double award course – counts as two IGCSEs

Cambridge IGCSE Co-ordinated Sciences

Gives our learners the opportunity to study Biology, Chemistry and Physics within a cross-referenced, scientifically coherent syllabus. It is a double award qualification, earning two grades. Learners gain an understanding of the basic principles of each subject through a mix of theoretical and practical studies, while also developing an understanding of the scientific skills essential for further study. Students can still progress to A level Sciences if a high grade in Co-ordinated Sciences is achieved.
