Prior Requirements/Hours of Study

  • The Cambridge IGCSE Spanish homeschooling course assumes a minimum of two years of prior study of the language
  • Your child should allow for up to 150 hours’ study time to complete the course plus additional time for completing assignments. 150 hours is an approximate figure which depends on their learning abilities and the pace at which they work
  • We offer Study Skills Sessions for those students who need some extra help managing their studies

The Syllabus and the Exam

•   The course will prepare your child for the Cambridge (CAIE) Spanish syllabus 0530.

•   The exam comprises three written papers and the oral:

Paper 1: Listening: 45 minutes – 25% (of the total mark) Paper 2: Reading: 1 hour – 25% Paper 3: Speaking: 15 minutes – 25% Paper 4: Writing: 1 hour – 25%

•   There are Cambridge exam centres in over 150 countries. We can provide details of those most convenient. You will need to check that your child’s chosen centre can offer the oral exam.

Course Fee

The fee for Cambridge IGCSE Spanish is £595 via instalments (initial payment of £115 and 8 monthly instalments of £60). There is a discount of 5% for payment in full reducing the fee to £565.
