Hola, hablas Español?
Our Cambridge IGCSE Spanish homeschooling course is based around the language skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing,
Psychological studies have found that speaking a second language, such as Spanish, is a great asset to the cognitive process. The brains of bilingual people operate differently than those of single language speakers, and these differences offer a number of benefits including:
These are all quite apart from the benefits of your child immersing themselves in another culture, and of seeing their own culture from the perspective of another.
The course covers 5 main topic areas which provide the context for your child to learn vocabulary, grammar and sentence structure.
• The course will prepare your child for the Cambridge (CAIE) IGCSE Spanish, syllabus 0530 or 7160.
• The exam comprises three written papers and the oral:
Paper 1: Listening: 45 minutes – 25% (of the total mark)
Paper 2: Reading: 1 hour – 25%
Paper 3: Speaking: 15 minutes – 25%
Paper 4: Writing: 1 hour – 25%
• There are Cambridge exam centres in over 150 countries. We can provide details of those most convenient. You will need to check that your child’s chosen centre can offer the oral exam.

I started learning French at school, and I’ve loved languages ever since. I was excited by the idea that speaking someone else’s language helps you to understand how they think as well as what they say.MA, PGCE Subject: French & Spanish View Profile
Nina studies IGCSE Spanish with Wolsey Hall alongside her other IGCSEs at school. Spanish is not available at her school, but she was keen to learn the language and her mother is a fluent Spanish speaker.
“The course is very helpful and the structure is great for keeping on track and on time.”
Nina has had excellent marks in herr IGCSE Spanish assignments – an average of over 93% so far. She is very prompt indeed at keeping up with her Study Schedule - Tamara, SPM.
