I have been in legal education for over 16 years teaching and training at all levels from qualified solicitors and barristers to those taking their first steps into legal studies. People study law for many reasons. Some want to one day practice law; some to broaden their horizons and use as a stepping stone into other careers; others find it enough just to learn a little more about how law works. Whatever your motivation, I’m sure that you’ll enjoy finding out why law is so important.
Law is my second career. I attended Aberystwyth University as a mature student in 1995 and later went into legal education. Before that I spent a number of years as a senior manager in private industry. I am a fully qualified tutor and I have taught law and legal practice to many hundreds of students over the years and I never fail to be inspired in assisting people to learn the subject. I firmly believe that if you work hard in your studies and are committed, you will be rewarded.
I live in North Wales, on the coast and no more than 20 minutes away from Snowdonia where my wife and I can often be found walking our dogs Zeus and Bobby. I also love to cycle, play tennis and travel. Our children are all grown up now but our grandchildren keep us on our toes!
I look forward to facilitating your studies at Wolsey Hall Oxford.
