I trained at Bishop Grosseteste College and Hull University and achieved a BA Hons in Drama with Qualified teaching status. I have taught for over twenty-two years and have extensive experience of working across all primary year groups in all subjects. I have a particular passion for teaching English and Drama. I thrive on encouraging children to be the best that they can be and building their self-confidence and belief.
I am a mother of two children, who keep me busy with their, sporting, music and drama clubs. I like to keep myself fit by doing Pilates and yoga as well as walking and running. I am a keen photographer and I love to take pictures of nature, vehicles and animals. Music also plays a large part in my life, from singing in an adult choir and helping to run a children’s choir, to going to live music gigs and visiting the theatre.
In my spare time, I am a cub leader. I think it’s important to volunteer and to give children the opportunity to learn life skills whilst having fun. In our cub group, we are very keen to allow children to set themselves personal challenges, so they really can see how far they can go. They are often surprised by what they can achieve.
I have experience tutoring individuals and children in small groups, giving them opportunities to develop a deep love of learning. I am very much looking forward to helping and guiding you on your learning journey.
