Science is all around us from the Moon to the mini beasts in the garden. I hope you will find this science course varied and interesting and that it will spark in you a love for science and the world around us.
After graduating from Nottingham University, I worked as a manager in the food manufacturing industry. It was remarkably interesting and allowed me to travel abroad to many amazing places. I then went on to qualify as a Science teacher. I have worked in various educational settings from state secondary to leading independent schools and I have taught GCSE and A Level to groups of varying ability.
After swimming competitively when I was younger, I now enjoy teaching and coaching swimming as an ASA Level 2 Swimming Teacher and Swim England Coach. I am a qualified lifeguard and work with the Royal Life Saving Society as a Trainer Assessor.
When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my active family. I have 3 children ranging in age from 6 -15 years, one of whom is studying her IGCSE’s with Wolsey Hall. I also have an English Springer Spaniel named Jasper who loves to go on long walks and play “fetch” in the garden for what seems like forever! My hobbies are diverse, from reading and baking to camping with my family in the great outdoors.
I look forward to being your Science Tutor, helping you along your learning journey, as you experience the wonderful world of science. I am always ready to help, so please remember that no question is too small or too large!
