On leaving University, my first career was in Banking where I spent some fifteen years. I then retrained as a teacher and ever since then I have specialised in teaching Economics and Business Studies at A Level. I teach also at GCSE/IGCSE Level.
My career has taken me to some wonderful schools, notably Sherborne Girls, Canford and Cheltenham Ladies. Many of my students have enjoyed considerable success, including going on to Oxford and Cambridge. I am currently teaching part-time at the Maynard School in Exeter. I am also an A Level Examiner. In recent years I have been specialising in revision tuition both online and on holiday revision courses.
Above all else, I am passionate about getting students to see the real world relevance of what they are studying. Economics and Business are both subjects that provide students with skills that are very relevant to their professional careers, and I look forward to sharing my passion with Wolsey Hall Oxford students.
I live in beautiful West Dorset with my family and three Labrador dogs. My hobbies include philately (I am a member of the Royal Philatelic Society, London) Football (I’m a lifelong Southampton supporter, which explains why I sometimes look a bit depressed on a Monday morning!), gardening and reading.
