A graduate of St Andrews University, Sarah has worked for over 15 years in international education, traversing many continents. As an university counsellor, mentor and coach she has expertise in guiding students and their families through the process of applying to highly regarded universities in countries including: the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, the Netherlands, Japan, Singapore and Germany. She is also able to advise on planning a constructive gap year programme.
Sarah works with students through the different stages of application: from an initial exploration of courses, countries and institutions; to drawing up a shortlist of ‘best fit’ institutions; preparing applications, references and personal statements; interview and standardised testing guidance; scholarship and financial aid advice; and ongoing post application support.
As a trained Co-Active coach, Sarah is also able to offer ‘Discovery’ consultations with students who need help exploring what future path is going to be right for them before they move towards beginning their applications. Students may begin work with Sarah at any stage in their high school education, and often an initial consultation towards the end of the IGCSE years, when selecting A level options, can ensure that future university requirements are not overlooked.
An avid traveller, Sarah loves to go hiking in wild spaces and has been a dedicated yogi for over a decade. She also enjoys reading contemporary women’s fiction and memoir.
