I am a qualified teacher with several years teaching and tutoring experience. This combination of classroom teaching and tutoring helps me quickly pick up on any issues for students.
I have always had a passion for Mathematics. I received an award for the highest A level grade in my school. I then went on to complete two mathematics degrees. While studying I also tutored part-time.
I have run a weekend school for 10 years, preparing pupils for a range of grammar and private schools. I get to know each of my pupils personally and build relationships that motivate them to succeed. Fuelled by my passion to teach, I completed my PGCE.
I am a fast learner with a natural ability to inspire and nurture others. I have several years of “industry” application and knowledge of Mathematics. This has given me a good understanding of the practical aspects of the subject. I am a meticulous planner and like to give detailed and straightforward feedback. I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you through your learning journey.
When I am not teaching, I keep myself busy with my three young children. We enjoy many activities, like nature walks, cycling and cooking together. Once in a while I organise a meal for those that are homeless, through my local charity. I also enjoy travelling and have been all over the world.
