By studying our Secondary English as a Second Language homeschooling course (Cambridge Lower Secondary English as a Second Language curriculum), your child will develop their skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing English. They will develop their vocabulary, increase their knowledge of grammar and punctuation and learn how to communicate formally and informally in writing and speaking. They may then be ready to study first language English if moving onto IGCSE.
At the end of Year 9 of Secondary English you will receive a report on your child’s progress.

Passing exams requires more than a good level of English. You must unlock the question and produce what the examiner wants to read. It’s always a joy giving a high mark to a well-answered question.BA, PGCE Subject: English & English as a Second Language View Profile
We can’t begin to thank you enough for everything! We started this journey with a lot of trepidation and uncertainty. Not knowing anyone personally who has actually homeschooled their children made the entire experience all the more daunting. However, we found the structure and content of work at Wolsey Hall very straightforward and easy to follow. This entire experience has made Haroon take ownership of his learning and be a lot more involved in his studies. This journey was definitely made a lot easier by having you as our Progress Manager! The communication on your side has always been fantastic and you’ve always been so prompt with your replies which made everything so much easier!
