The Benefits of Studying Skills for Life

Our Skills for Life course aims to help your child develop the necessary knowledge, skills and attributes for life and work in the future. The course covers a range of engaging themes that will spark discussion and, in turn, help your child develop effective communication, analytical and reflective skills: ‘How can we work well with others?’ ‘How can we deal with change?’ ‘How can we lead a healthy lifestyle?’.

A growing body of evidence shows that life skills education can help the emotional and physical wellbeing of students and increase academic attainment.

The course is packed full of presentations, videos, worksheets and discussion topics which will allow your child to explore these topics in depth, individually or with a parent/Tutor. Our course is currently the only international homeschooling-specific curriculum for the teaching of personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE).

Meet Our Secondary Level Skills for Life Tutors

Gail Denby, Homeschooling parent, South Africa

My daughter really enjoyed Part 1 of the Skills for Life course on the Lower Secondary Level. Learning about her positive attributes, thinking about her future interests and how to deal and prepare for change in her life has made a positive impact on her well-being. My daughter loves working at her own pace and is totally independent. The positive feedback and explanations on how to improve in certain areas are excellent. Our Student Progress Manager always keeps me up to date with all of my daughter's subjects and is always very supportive and helpful. We cannot wait to enroll her for Part 2 of this course. This is the first year of being a part of Wolsey Hall Oxford and we look forward to continuing the rest of her school years on this platform.

Sophie Le Brozec, Homeschooling Parent, Mauritius

We are in our second year now of Lower Secondary and have had such incredible responses from everyone at Wolsey Hall (teachers and admin staff alike). All the information arrived no problem, Skype calls organised seamlessly, assignments corrected sometimes the same day that they are submitted. Clear, helpful feedback from the teachers. I have absolutely no affiliation with Wolsey Hall but I recommend it to everyone as we love it! Our daughter loves it, is learning loads and is excited about learning, she tells us she never wants to go back to "traditional" schooling. Thank you so much everyone.
