Deputy Manager of Student Support – Secondary

Liane graduated with a degree in English Studies from Durham University and then trained at Nottingham Law School before taking a PGCE at Reading University.  Since then, she has worked across the 5-13 age range both as a classroom teacher and as a specialist Learning Support teacher in both state and independent schools in England.  Liane likes developing her own learning and so took a Postgraduate Diploma in Childhood Studies and a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Educational Practice (Literacy Difficulties) at Oxford Brookes University.

Liane particularly enjoys the opportunities that Wolsey Hall affords her in building relationships with students of all different ages and nationalities.  She relishes assisting students as they grow in confidence and progress through their courses.  Each day is different, and this makes the job rewarding.  She also sees the courses from the perspective of a parent as her own teenager studies with Wolsey Hall.

Outside of work, Liane enjoys spending time with her family, bell-ringing and exploring the countryside.
