Supporting your child’s personal and social development
We may have students studying with us remotely from right across the world, but we provide plenty of opportunities for your child to socialise, connect and interact with pupils from other cultures and backgrounds through our thriving international school community.
Our students can chat with each other via private and secure online discussion boards, compete against each other at virtual chess, and take part in our themed clubs and competitions where they can showcase their skills and passions outside their studies. They can also borrow e-books from our virtual library to enjoy in their spare time, and help build vital reading skills. There really is something for everyone!
Online Communities sites for Primary and Secondary
We have two dedicated online Communities for our Primary students and Secondary (Lower Secondary, GCSE Level and A Level) students, which are secure and password-protected. Pupils can interact with each other via age-appropriate discussion boards and make new friends, share their interests, and ask for advice if they’re stuck in a subject. Plus, Primary students can connect with each other through live 'Show and Tell' sessions. We also offer competitions where students have the chance to showcase their skills and win prizes.
We also have social opportunities for parents too – you can chat and connect with other Wolsey Hall Oxford parents through our closed level-restricted Primary, Lower Secondary, and GCSE Level & A Level Facebook Groups, and Primary parents can also use our Primary Parent Forum.
Our themed clubs
Your child can take part in a variety of fun and engaging clubs whilst studying with us, covering everything from Art and Debating to Lego, Cookery and more. Whatever their interests, talents or passions, they’ll have plenty of opportunities to share them with like-minded students and unleash their creativity.
Our virtual library
If your child is an avid reader or simply wants to delve deeper into topics that interest them outside their courses, our virtual e-library has got them covered. We have a wide range of books to satisfy all interests and reading abilities, which your child can borrow and access whenever they want to on multiple devices.

An incredible schooling concept
For a long time, we were looking for an alternative to the mainstream schooling system, and have found it with Wolsey Hall Oxford. The intelligence and heart behind the concept and delivery is incredible. My daughter can choose her speed of learning, interest areas and most importantly she learns to be self-responsible and independent in her studying. This is for me the most important skill in our digitalized world. And through the provided forum-platform she can interact with people from around the world.

Our experience with Wolsey Hall Oxford
I have never been so confident that choosing Wosley Hall Oxford for our son was the best decision. Our son has made excellent progress over four years. He became an independent learner and is not afraid to ask for help if needed. His tutors are always willing to help, explain things in more detail, and discuss what could be done better. There is plenty of materials to go through—lots of extra activities. In our opinion, the curriculum is rich and comprehensive. The school offers free clubs like chess, art & design, photography, creative writing, book club, debate, choir, access to the library, etc. Regarding socialising, there is a community\forum for children where our son meets students from all over the world. This experience is priceless. On top of that, we have a fantastic Student Progress Manager who: supervises our child's studies, makes the transition to the next year so much easier, helps with all queries and much more. We feel like this way of education helps our son to become an independent, self-confident and happy teenager. He developed lots of interest outside the school because he was not overwhelmed by it. From the perspective of the past four years, I wish we could do it earlier. It would save us time, worries and fatigue, not to mention the quality of education offered by Wosley Hall Oxford.

Homeschooling Year 4 in Zambia
My daughter is currently doing year 4 English through Wolsey Hall. The educational level is very high. The programme is practical, easy to follow, clearly laid out, full of different challenges and packed with a variety of educational tools. Course books are available to purchase, lesson plans are provided for each study day, and links to fun activities and specific tutoring material are available throughout. An online library is accessible and there are clubs to join and monthly competitions! Tutors and Student Progress Managers are very helpful and knowledgeable. I really cannot recommend Wolsey Hall for homeschooling enough!!!

Amazing! No need to sweat!
Having been with Wolsey Hall for 4 years has been a very pleasant journey from choosing IGCSEs to applying for the final exams, to participating in clubs. Throughout this time there has been support and guidance from the whole team at Wolsey. Our SPM (student progress manager) for the higher secondary school has been exceptional and has everything covered, from monthly reviews, advice, answering queries to being friendly, approachable and encouraging and most importantly having the ability to interact with a teenager. Tutors at Wolsey cannot be faltered. They encourage, inspire and their comments address all areas from strengths to weaknesses and how to improve and move forward. Best of all they are approachable and willing to help your child to do the best they can. Along with great tutors, Wolsey Hall has excellent interactive structured courses with access to multiple websites and quizzes. The UK exams officer at Wolsey has been absolutely amazing and made the process of applying for IGCSEs stress free. We can honestly say Wolsey have everything covered from start to finish and the whole experience has actually been a pleasant one. Everyone at Wolsey Hall have been amazing and truly we are grateful for all the help, support and kindness Thank you so much!

High quality education - adorable staff
High quality education, my children have improved a lot. I'm happy to be part of Wolsey Hall family. My younger dauther joined 3 years ago, she wasn't able to read or write, and for her was so difficult coming from a Spanish speaking country - now she's showing a huge improvement. My kids love the Clubs - there are so many activities for them. The staff is very helpful, giving accurate answers on time. I do suggest to keep closer contact with the kids. Sometimes they would like to say at least hello through the webcam ;-) it makes feel more comfortable. The online learning platform used by WH is friendly and easy to use.

The best decision
The international schools in our area offered only online learning during the years of pandemic, this is why we started to search for an accredited online school. After our 2 years with Wolsey Hall I can truly claim that it was the best decision we could make given the circumstances. Our child was able to self pace his studies while he always received support from his tutors when he needed. We had great Student Progress Managers during the two years, Charlotte and Rebecca, they continuously assisted us and helped to make the transition back to physical school much easier. All the learning resources, lesson plans were easy to follow and they offered extra curricular activities as well, we really felt supported and part of Wolsey Community;) Thank you very much for changing these years from a nightmare (due to the pandemic) to a beautiful memory.

Outstanding!
I highly recommend Wolsey Hall. I am a Primary School teacher and was hired as a private tutor for a 7 y.o boy. The content is of high quality and the course is incredibly well structured. The platform is user friendly and the lesson plans very easy to follow. There is a large amount of available resources, for extra curricular activities as well. Even though it’s an online school, you really feel supported and part of a community. The tutors are extremely helpful, easily reachable and the feedback they give is the reflection of the attention and care they demonstrate to each student.

My son is 11 and this is his second…
My son is 11 and this is his second year at Wolsey Hall. I can say that we've had a wonderful experience so far. The course materials are very useful and well structured, there are a lot of additional resources available, and their platform Canvas is easy to use even for people who are not technology experts. We really appreciate the flexibility we have, as he is studying English Year 5 and Maths Year 7. My son also finds the Library very useful and he enjoys the Student Forum. I have been most impressed by the staff's readiness to support and encourage us for more than a year. They have always answered promptly any questions I had and my son's progress has been closely followed and acknowledged. We are both very happy with our choice of school.

An A* School!
My kids have been with Wolsey Hall for the past 5 years now and we’ve never had a single minute’s regret. Their tutors are highly knowledgeable and offer invaluable feedback on every assignment; it was not even 2 assignments later that my children had been pushed up into a completely different league in terms of grades and quality of work due to tutor feedback. The friendly and relaxed nature of the tutors makes working with them a joy for my kids and they inspire a sense of respect and esteem for their work and the school. Supporting staff are with you every step of the way: from ordering books, working out a year-plan, right up-to the day of examination and even further on, through comprehensive university advice. The staff are friendly and helpful and seem to think it only standard practice to go above and beyond every time. But it is the non-academic aspects of Wolsey Hall that my kids have been very taken with. The virtual clubs, monthly competitions and online community page make up for anything kids think they might be missing out on at school and then some! We are beyond pleased with everything Wolsey Hall offers, though we do wish they would accommodate more design and art focused subjects. Nevertheless we fully intend to work with them right up until the end of the childrens’ school career, their comprehensive and successful approach to examinations and schooling during COVID speaks volumes to how they are equipped for the future of learning.
