Your role
Supporting your child’s learning
At Wolsey Hall Oxford, we know that your involvement in your child’s education plays a vital role in their success. Whilst your child will receive expert feedback from our expert Tutors and be supported by a dedicated Student Progress Manager, your help at home is key to ensuring they stay motivated, organised and confident throughout their studies.
The level of support you’ll need to provide will depend on your child’s age and learning level. Younger students, particularly in Primary and Lower Secondary, need more hands-on guidance, whilst older students at GCSE Level and A Level will gradually take more ownership of their learning, with your encouragement and oversight along the way.
However much support your child needs, you’ll never be alone on your homeschooling journey. As a Wolsey Hall Oxford parent, you’ll have access to our student learning platform as an Observer, so you can view assignments, feedback and progress at any time. We work in close partnership with parents, combining your support at home with our expert guidance to help your child build independence and reach their full potential.

Understand how much time courses should take
Use our calculator as a guide to working out the average number of study hours are needed to schedule each week per subject. We hope that this will help you get started with creating a timetable that you can then adjust once you develop a new homeschooling routine. Please remember that this is an average and that all students will study at different paces and will find some subjects more challenging than others.
