Safe online

Safeguarding at Wolsey Hall Oxford

At Wolsey Hall Oxford, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment for all our students — free from fear of abuse, bullying or exploitation. We believe that every child deserves to learn in a secure, positive space, whether they are studying in the UK or internationally.

We follow rigorous safeguarding practices that align with UK legislation and best practice, including the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) framework. From emotional wellbeing support to online safety guidance, safeguarding sits at the heart of everything we do.

Our staff are fully trained in safeguarding and online safety awareness, and are vigilant in spotting and responding to any issues that may arise within our homeschooling context. Our learning systems are carefully monitored and designed to protect student privacy and personal information — helping to ensure every learner feels protected, valued and empowered to thrive.

Supporting our students' mental health

We know that emotional wellbeing is key to academic success — which is why mental health support is a core part of our safeguarding approach. Homeschooling can be a positive and empowering experience, but we also recognise that it comes with challenges.

Our Learning and Wellbeing Support team offers:

  • Practical resources on managing stress, building resilience, and supporting emotional development
  • Regular check-ins throughout your child’s learning journey
  • Support from Tutors and Student Progress Managers trained to recognise when a student may need help

Students are always encouraged to speak to their SPM or Tutor if they’re feeling overwhelmed — and as a parent, you can reach out to us at any time with concerns.
