Recommend Wolsey Hall for home learning
Wolsey Hall were very efficient at onboarding our daughter mind-year (March) and promptly sent materials to the other side of the world (Australia). The courses are well-structured and content-rich. Our 13 yo daughter could navigate the platforms and complete all tasks independently. She learned a lot - more than at a physical school. The courses are easy to follow and well-organised with frequent tutor check-ins. Tutors are lovely.

Great homeschool program

Homeschooling - a wonderful experience!
What an amazing 3 months of homeschooling... indeed we are fortunate to get to know about Wolsey Hall Oxford and I am proud to say it was one of the best decisions of our life to choose homeschooling for our daughter Abigail. Its just 3 months though, but the changes in our daughter's motivation, study pattern and confidence is noticeable. Best Choice For Homeschooling
Before we made the decision to take the homeshooling route, we talked to friends with homeschooled children and were largely unimpressed. We scoured the internet and came across Wolsey. It seemed to be the one that best matched our daughter's Cambridge system education at that point. We're glad we ultimately went the Wolsey route. The flexibility of homeschooling suited us perfectly, the course materials are of high quality, and SPM Kristina and the tutors are a delight to work with. Contrary to our initial reservations, homeschooling with Wolsey actually helped our daughter become a more independent, confident and disciplined student, things which will help her immensely when she goes to university. The ability to choose her own subjects allowed us to tailor her learning to her interests and give her a sense of what course she wants to take up. We also appreciate how Wolsey worked closely with our daughter to prepare for her IGCSE exams. The Wolsey experience has been a positive one not only for our child but for us as well. We'd recommend it highly to anyone looking for a homeschooling solution. We feel it's one of the best out there.

Only good experiences
The course materials were great and the tutors were very helpful, who were always available when my child needed support. We had a great experience especially with our student manager. She was very attentive and supportive. She understood our situation well (traveling etc) and gave us the necessary advices promptly. When we needed a specific document urgently, they attended to our request immediately and handled it professionally. Thanks to all, we had a good homeschooling experience. Highly recommended.

We had a very positive experience with Wolsey.
Firstly a huge thank you to our Student Progress Manager, Claire, who was absolutely fantastic. A real asset to Wolsey. She did a brilliant job keeping us informed, ironing out any difficulties, helping us and quite frankly made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. Our tutors, Paula, Lyndsay and Penelope were brilliant and the lessons exciting and appropriate. The negatives were the rising fees, lack of alternatives for those pupils unable to sit GCSEs and the sheer volume of printing and uploading which needs to be done. Other than that I really can't fault the school, it does an amazing job and we will be using it again once our youngest leaves Primary. From my experience I would recomend without hestitation. Thanks Wolsey.

A brilliant option for those wishing to homeschool!
The team at Wolsey Hall Oxford has been fantastic! My daughter completed both Year 1 and Year 2 with them, and throughout the experience, I found the lesson plans to be incredibly easy to follow and full of creative teaching ideas. This was especially helpful for someone like me, who isn’t a trained teacher. The team has been very supportive and accommodating, allowing flexibility for breaks and holidays, as well as when we wanted to progress through the curriculum more quickly. Feedback on assignments was always prompt, and Jane and Cathe were nothing short of marvellous! I highly recommend Wolsey Hall Oxford to anyone looking for a homeschool experience that sets their child up for success!

I'm Tejjas, an A Level student who sat the 2024 May/June A Level exams. My experience with Wolsey Hall Oxford was wonderful and I'm so happy that I decided to enrol. Courses were well organised on Canvas and flowed logically. The materials linked were useful and helped to provide a broader range of perspectives and approaches to problems or concepts. I would also recommend that other students look for materials beyond what is provided on Canvas to further their understanding if they so wish. Tutors were friendly and helpful when asked questions, and would usually respond within 48 hours. Thank you Mr Bahia, Mr Wardle, and Mrs Carpinato. Assignments were also good and feedback was useful. What was particularly good was that I felt that assignments were graded as they would be in the exams, meaning very strictly. This encouraged me to learn proper exam technique and not gloss over details that may otherwise seem trivial. This is especially helpful for essay subjects where students may mark themselves too leniently since the Cambridge-provided mark-schemes have some ambiguity. My SPM, Ms Helena Cantone, was also supportive and understanding when I missed deadlines occasionally due to personal matters. She would check in monthly to ask how I was doing and offer help, which helped to keep me motivated. I'm also very thankful to the university counsellor, Ms Sarah Wilson, for her advice and support with my UCAS application. With her referral letter and general advice on my application, I secured 5/5 offers from universities including the LSE, Warwick, and KCL. I achieved A*A*A* and hence converted my LSE offer. Overall, these 2 years with Wolsey Hall Oxford have been incredible thanks to the wonderful people involved, and I will look back on them with great fondness. Tejjas

My daughter started at Wolsey Hall when she was 12 and is now 19.We were living aboard and she had a very difficult time transitioning from primary to secondary.She developed school refusal/anxiety and we reluctantly contacted Wolsey Hall as all other options had failed us.Changed everything ensuring she got a first class education and on her way to university.We cant recommend them enough in giving a steady hand to children who for whatever reason do not fit well with main stream education

Great Experience with Wolsey Hall Oxford Homeschool
My daughter has been studying at Wolsey Hall Oxford since she was 6 years old. Now she is in her second year of schooling and in her Year 2. I am extremely satisfied with the programme offered and the teachers’ way in carrying out the lessons for my daughter was amazing. I am also convinced in the teaching methodology used at this online homeschool. It is to my expectancy. My daughter loved the offline teaching videos and she enjoy learning on her own. I am glad that I am giving her the right education needed at this young age. The teachers as well as the managers for my daughter were very friendly and organized. I can see a lot of improvement in her self independent skill as well. She learns Mathematical skills, spelling and reading words and also writing in a fun way.. Besides this, the way the concept of Mathematics taught ease the kid’s understanding and make the kid to have a love towards numbers. The designed syllabus makes my daughter to be creative, imaginative and futuristic. She learns problem solving as well and I am very much impressed in this. The teachers’ feedback and the way they approach me as a parent creates a great respect on them. I am fully satisfied with the way the teachers carry out the online lessons with my daughter and the way they approach her were very pleasing. Excellent school
Excellent school I transferred my daughter to Wolsey Hall 2 years ago after she found online classes had improved her studies and helped deal with anxiety better. Following that, she started IGCSEs, and the amount of support and flexibility we have received have been tremendous. There have been many personal problems along the way which hindered her studies but her SPM has supported us throughout the way. She has learnt and grown so much. Great tutors and SPM. Definitely recommend! We are leaving now but it’s been a great journey.

Very satisfied I can only recommend
We're using Wolsey Hall since our son is 9 years old, on a part-time basis because we're in continental Europe and he's already enrolled in the local school system. While you should expect to spend time with your kid on the lessons and exercises, I do fully recommend the school because it is very rigorous and supportive. They also offer optional web based tutoring if it is one's wish, and there are many clubs for those who have more time. The curriculum is basically what you'd experience in UK, so overall very good and progressive. The pace for mathematics is quite high, but it is worth the effort. If you're looking for a self-service, web based school, this is probably not the right one, but if you're looking for a rigorous but yet fun (for example the english module) and that can adapt to each one's lifestyle this is really a great option. They also prepare well for iGCSE which is a recognized diploma.

Wolsey Hall is a great curriculum to use. We have two boys of which one is severely dyslexic. The flexibility of the curriculum helps us with so many challenges we face with math, reading and writing. We are able to adapt our own time and schedule, allowing for necessary breaks and still get the work done. This has been an incredible help with each individuals specific needs. The staff has been incredibly helpful and responses always quick and efficient. The structure and online platform is easy to use. As a parent with no teaching background, the planned out structure is extremely easy to use. I found it so helpful. Using this curriculum has given us the freedom to achieve and adapt per individual needs. I would highly recommend Wolsey Hall to anyone.

Happy to recommend Wolsey Hall Oxford
We are in our fourth school year in three years at Wolsey Hall Oxford. The quality of the curriculum and most of the tutors has been fantastic, and we foresee continuing with WHO for as long as possible. We have appreciated being able to mix and match year level courses to meet our children's needs, as well as following our own life schedule and speeding up or slowing down as needed; WHO has given our family a lot of freedom to live life and still well educate our children. Furthermore, when a child is bored with lower than their level work, there is an option to bump the child up to the next year level after their current course is complete. This has worked very well for us, though in some subjects, such as English, where our child has the full capability of higher level work, the content is too mature for her age (we have an older child who has already completed those courses). Most of the tutors provide excellent feedback and they are mostly responsive within a reasonable timeframe. Deja at Learning Support is fantastic, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. Only two points to raise in what I wish WHO did better: firstly, a number of times over the past three years, we've received an email that our Student Progress Manager or subject tutor is changing effective immediately without any explanation. Just this week, we received one of those emails for one of our children's favourite tutors who has been with us since we began WHO in 2020. There has been no chance to say goodbye and no explanation, so that could certainly be improved. Secondly, because we are a multinational family, A levels do not make sense for us, as our children are likely to attend university outside of the UK. I truly wish WHO offered the International Baccalaureate Program to continue the well-rounded education they offer at lower years. As it is currently, after IGCSEs, we will have to transition elsewhere to do IB, which we really do not want to do, as our experience has been so good at WHO.

Our child has been using Wolsey for almost 3 years now. At first, we were a bit sceptical as we are looking for a platform that can provide a live class. But after give it a try, we actually fall in love as the platform has been highly useful for our child as it helps her to get ahead of the school curriculum with the online lessons. The topics are well-structured in an organized manner and our child able to go back to any topic that she need to revise, especially her weaker topics at wherever and whenever. Wolsey helps our child to get a good grasp and understanding about the lessons, patch up the learning gaps and clear our doubts. Therefore, we highly recommend Wolsey to all parents who choose home school education for their children.

Teaching the Teacher!
Our children have just completed two years of home-schooling (daughtet Years 3 & 4, son Years 5 & 6), and having taught most of the curriculum myself, I can say I am a lot more knowledgable and enjoyed the experience thoroughly. The curriculum is well-rounded and broad in subject matter, and it is not just "sit and learn", it gets the children involved physically, with external activities and tasks included in most subjects. The website is a great support tool and easy to navigate, and the assessment process is personal and constructive. We thank, and highly recommend, our Student Progress manager, Francesca, for her support over these two years. Nothing was ever too hard, and her responses and information always spot on, and issues always resolved quickly. Overall, a great learning experience for students and teachers, thank you Wolsey!

We love Wolsey Hall
We, as a family love homeschooling with Wolsey Hall, we have been homeschooling for 2 years going on 3 this year and we are very happy! We started on year 4 and year 1 and we are now busy with year 6 and year 3. We enjoy the work,lessons and challenges that Wolsey Hall offers, and we have become so used to the structure and routines it just makes life so much easier! Homeschooling Year 4 in Zambia
My daughter is currently doing year 4 English through Wolsey Hall. The educational level is very high. The programme is practical, easy to follow, clearly laid out, full of different challenges and packed with a variety of educational tools. Course books are available to purchase, lesson plans are provided for each study day, and links to fun activities and specific tutoring material are available throughout. An online library is accessible and there are clubs to join and monthly competitions! Tutors and Student Progress Managers are very helpful and knowledgeable. I really cannot recommend Wolsey Hall for homeschooling enough!!!

Best place to start your home schooling journey
This is our second year with Wolsey Hall and our experience is really positive from day one. I can clearly see my kids are showing a huge improvement and progressing well. I am really grateful for our student progress managers Ms.Tara and Ms. Rechell for their continuous support and all the teachers who are incredibly professional and friendly. I enrolled my child in Wolsey Hall…
I enrolled my child in Wolsey Hall almost three years ago, and I have been extremely impressed with the quality of education that she has received. The online platform is user-friendly and easy to navigate, making it simple for my child to access their lessons and assignments. The curriculum is comprehensive and challenging, providing my child with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their studies. One of the best things about Wolsey Hall is the flexibility it provides. My child is able to complete her schoolwork at her own pace and on her own schedule, allowing her to balance the studies with other activities and responsibilities. This has been especially helpful during the COVID-19 pandemic, when traditional in-person schools have been forced to close or limit their operations. Fantastic experience of homeschooling!
I love Wolsey Hall. I was nervous about starting down the homeschooling route but they have made it easy and enjoyable. It's all super organised, and I just love the flexibility and being able to tailor the course levels to your child's needs. The tutors that I've dealt with are all great and we have an excellent Student Progress Manager that overseas all our family needs. Their level of professionalism is second-to-none, and I would not hesitate to recommend them!

Outstanding!
I highly recommend Wolsey Hall. I am a Primary School teacher and was hired as a private tutor for a 7 y.o boy. The content is of high quality and the course is incredibly well structured. The platform is user friendly and the lesson plans very easy to follow. There is a large amount of available resources, for extra curricular activities as well. Even though it’s an online school, you really feel supported and part of a community. The tutors are extremely helpful, easily reachable and the feedback they give is the reflection of the attention and care they demonstrate to each student.

Home schooling in rural Uganda
We live in rural Uganda and started using Wolsey Hall Oxford when our eldest hit secondary school age in 2020. This was after consideration of other home school providers and educational options. We were conscious of the financial costs involved, but the reviews of Wolsey Hall were excellent and the system of study sounded very suitable so we decided to give it a go! And we don't regret it - the service has been excellent. Well worth the money! The work is well set out with good resources; the tutors are very helpful and quick to provide feedback; the Student Progress Managers are always willing to answer questions and guide. We started with 3 subjects for our eldest in 2020, our middle child commenced Upper primary for 1 subject in 2021, and for this academic year our eldest is studying 6 subjects, and our middle child 2! That says a lot in itself! One of the positive aspects of the work is being able to plan your own timetable. This allows us to take time away from compound hospital ministry at times that suit us/the hospital, rather than around schooling terms. And earlier this year we were able to spend 4 months back in Northern Ireland (our first time out of Uganda since before COVID), and take a complete break from school. Additionally, our eldest has started to study some iGCSE subjects, and he will be able to complete those in Uganda! This was another consideration to our decision. Overall, we have really enjoyed using Wolsey Hall Oxford. Our boys are progressing well. We are very happy to recommend it to others.

Best Decision Ever
Homeschooling is a difficult decision to make for most parents as with anything there are positive and negative aspects. As such before I enrolled my daughter at Wolsey, I did my homework. Pleased with what I read, I took a chance and enrolled her. And what a great experience it has been. From Angela, her Student Progress Manager, who is both supportive and available. Answering questions, liaising with tutors and even sending my daughter congratulatory emails on assignments. Angela has maintained wonderful and open lines of communications. To my daughter's tutors who have been fantastic, not only in marking her assignments and work but in providing constructive criticism, offering support and teaching her how to learn and think when applying one's knowledge. The subjects themselves are great, Wolsey Oxford offering a good range of interesting and relevant subject choices. With her tutors help, my daughter has learned to embrace her studies and apply her knowledge as such. A life skill of great value. I am very happy with the program, my daughter loves her work and I in turn value and recommend Wolsey Hall Oxford for its subjects, tutors, support and student progress manager - all of which have been great. Home Education with Wolsey Hall
For us the Covid Lockdowns were seen as an opportunity to test home-schooling out without putting our daughter’s education at any more risk than that of her peers. The concept was met with great enthusiasm, both on our part as well as hers, and we all learned a great deal pretty quickly… We were supported initially by her mainstream school with lesson material but quickly established we needed to supplement this with additional learning in order to fill the voids between her recorded level of achievements in school and her actual knowledge. We registered with lots of really great educational websites, played about on YouTube and generally muddled through having fun and trying to make things work. We loved the concept of home schooling, particularly the freedom, but needed a more structured way of delivering a consistent education. Then we discovered Wolsey Hall. We enrolled our daughter into year 6, her next full school year, and have never looked back. As I write this review, she has just completed year 7. What’s not to love? The Canvas Platform is fantastic - it’s clear, reliable, intuitive, informative and encouraging. The Course content is inspiring – each course is in depth, probably more so than in a mainstream school, but well presented, well evidenced and there’s sufficient resources, both in physical text books and additional web learning, to make this more than achievable. The tutors are so encouraging – With an overall progress manager and individual subject tutors there is never a lack of feedback, advice or praise. Each tutor knows their subject and has taken the time to get to know our daughter. We have experienced only first-rate interactions with every member of the team that we have encountered – friendly, knowledgeable, timely – thank you. Freedom – Learn when it suits! Wolsey Hall has meant that we can factor our school time into our life style rather than factoring our life style round school time. My daughter rides horses and she can now do so “in school time” without it affecting her education. We can travel in our Motorhome “out of term time” and experience cheaper prices and enjoy shorter queues. Social interaction – this was a big one for us but Wolsey Hall have it covered. With various clubs, competitions and activities to get involved in you are never alone. She might be sitting in our dining room or on the end of her bed but she is interacting with people all over the world. All of a sudden having a few friends at school doesn’t seem enough anymore and the world isn’t as big as it once was. Home schooling has also enabled her to take on a volunteering role at a local riding school giving her access to many other people than can be found in the confines of a class room. Would I recommend Wolsey Hall? 100% yes I would, and we have never looked back since!

Excellent for home schooling.
My older son took several IGCSEs with Wolsey Hall and now my younger son is coming to the end of year 9 with them. We have found the school to be very good, they are quick to respond and helpful with any queries and the tutors are all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The system has worked very well for us, giving a good structured curriculum but also the flexibility to study when we want. They have also been very helpful with the exam organisation, particularly during the pandemic, when it was all rather chaotic! I would definitely recommend Wolsey Hall and we will be continuing with them for IGCSEs next year.

Amazing IGCSE Tutoring and Support
I was a student with Wolsey Hall Oxford for a year and a half whilst studying for my IGCSEs and I loved it. Their way of teaching and independent study gives you the choice of when to study and how to plan your studying around your life, activities or movement. Wolsey's teachers are all supportive, helpful, and give thorough feedback on your past mistakes, and really help you to achieve the grades that you can. I got 3 A*s 3 As 2 Bs and 1 C, a huge improvement from my past studies. I would recommend Wolsey Hall Oxford to everyone who's living abroad and needing British education or home schooling in the UK. From my daughter's point of view in her words: I’ve been with Wolsey Hall for two years – previously I used a different program to homeschool – and am now starting iGCSEs and the experience has been excellent. Everything is well organized and highly professional, making it easy to work, and the tutors are extremely friendly and helpful. Wolsey’s program ensures that you learn to work independently and manage your time by yourself, very important skills to acquire early. Most importantly for me, however, is that Wolsey makes schooling enjoyable. By structuring their courses the way they do, and giving students a degree of freedom to find what works for them, Wolsey allows the fun of learning to prevail. I have fun with school – and if you enjoy learning, you automatically learn better! All in all, I would not hesitate to immediately recommend Wolsey to anyone, provided they are willing to self-motivate. From a parent’s point of view: I am absolutely thrilled with the way Wolsey is doing the courses. Everything is clearly explained, excellently structured and the tutors are highly qualified, extremely helpful and professional. We have never had any problems and the feedback is always detailed and easy to understand. The same goes for any other staff, starting from the administrative staff who make the enrolling process very easy, the finance department and of course the student progress manager. We had several changes in our schedule over the years due to moving or spontaneous holidays, it was never a problem and Jessie, our student progress manager, thank you, has always responded quickly and accommodated our needs. Our daughter has learned to work independently and, as she said above, enjoys school. That for me says it all, what better recommendation is there? I do think it is important that as a parent you get involved to a certain extent, even if it is just to help with keeping on track or bouncing ideas. I also want to address the one issue that keeps coming up with prospective homeschoolers: the worry of parents that their children have no social interactions, which I had in the beginning as well. For us that worked out, my daughter dances 4 times a week and has a lot of social contacts. For those who don’t have that opportunity, Wolsey has an online student forum and several online activities to cover that side as well, which I have not seen from other homeschooling providers and find absolutely brilliant. I would 100% recommend Wolsey to anyone who thinks about a different and individual approach to learning and have done so in person to several friends.

Excellent support and education service
I have had two daughters attend Wolsey Hall. Whilst online education is not for everyone the support and organization of the lessons and objectives eases the process. At no time did I feel 'alone' our student progress manager (Emma) was a huge support and key especially in these times. Communication was prompt, clear and student centrist, the care and commitment to the individual student is evident. There are clear expectations which help both student and parent. The teachers gave expansive rubrics and comments after each assignment enabling us to progress and develop the skills needed. If you are considering home school I would not hesitate to recommend Wolsey.

A great experience for our daughter!
Our daughter joined Wolsey Hall Oxford for her second A level year in English Language last September 2019 and we were very impressed from the start. Rona, the Student Progress Manager gave our daughter a warm welcome and was always helpful, supportive and quick to answer any queries, while her tutor was also a very knowledgeable guide in her markings of assignments throughout the year. Wolsey Hall is an excellent online Homeschooling platform
We have been travelling quite a bit and thanks to Wolsey Hall it was possible to give our 4 children a high standard of education. The lesson plans, structure and required materials are easy to access and download. Our appointed Student Progress Manager was a great help in staying on track and the platform gave us a lot of flexibility as we can submit assignments at a later date. The tutors were easily available when needed and always responded quickly. They gave extra resources and information when needed. We can easily recommend Wolsey Hall as an online school platform anytime.

No regrets at all.... Wolsey Hall are excellent.
A work move to Tokyo meant we had to make some tough decisions on A Level education for our son. Shopping around it was clear there was a plethora of distance learning providers, but Wolsey Hall seemed to stand out. We plumped for them, based upon their references and we were not disappointed; in fact we were delighted. Our son enrolled for three A Levels and it was clear from day one that Wolsey Hall were attentive, rigorous, disciplined and a delight for him to deal with. Feedback from the coursework was fast, comprehensive and very personalised, his tutors always accessible and delight to deal with, providing excellent exam preparation. The administration of the books, coursework, lesson plans and other issues was spot-on. Wolsey Hall has our strongest recommendation and they have our fulsome praise and thanks for their efforts; he passed all three with great grading and will start University this year. My Son wears his Wolsey Hall sweatshirt with pride, they are very much his Alma Mater. Delighted!

Cambridge A level Psychology…
Our daughter took A level Psychology over 2 years because this option was not available through her school. Although much of distance learning is down to a student's self-discipline, having the right framework, tutor support and feedback strengthens the process. I believe that Wolsey Hall provided this, which is why the final grade result was so encouraging. I can highly recommend Wolsey Hall if you are looking for an online Cambridge option.

Wow!!!
Wolsey Hall- What can you say? My son has only been with Wolsey Hall for a few months but he has had such positive encouragement from his tutors and student progress manager (Nyssa) that we have seen his confidence grow leaps and bounds. He’s enjoying the courses so much that he is eager to get on with it himself. We can see that he is taking charge of his own learning and becoming self-motivated, independent and managing his time more efficiently. The online courses are exceptionally well- structured, engaging with a variety of material, as well as challenging. The tutors are amazing, friendly and so approachable that you know from the word go that your child’s education is in secure hands. Along with the tutors and Nyssa being there for us to approach for any queries, it’s been such a pleasant journey that, we regret not having commenced sooner with Wolsey Hall. Exceptional Experience
My daughter is an American student studying with Wolsey Hall. I knew very little about the Cambridge curriculum when my daughter began her IGCSE studies, but Wolsey Hall has made every effort to help both of us along the way. Excellent Communication and Course Structures
My daughter completed 8 iGCSEs through Wolsey Hall. We have been very impressed with their level of service. They are easy to contact, the courses are well structured and the tutors provide detailed feedback throughout the courses. Parents and students do need to be aware that these courses are online and so a great deal of effort and good time management on the student's part is required to achieve good results, but Wolsey definitely provides all the resources, quizzes, assignments and detailed feedback that will keep a student on track and prepare them for the exams. We also really appreciate the extra help Wolsey provides, such as finding an exam centre and choosing further study options. We are very glad we found Wolsey Hall and would recommend them as a foundation for home study both in the UK and abroad.

Wolsey is great!
I have been studying with Wolsey Hall for the past 3 years, taking IGCSE History in the first year for which I gained an A* and then A level History and English Literature in the last two, both of which i achieved high A grades in at the AS exam sitting in the Autumn. I have really enjoyed studying with Wolsey - the course material is engaging and very accessible, the tutors are incredibly helpful and the feedback/advice is excellent. I would definitely highly recommend studying with Wolsey.
