Flexible, comprehensive and supportive

I used Wolsey Hall Oxford to sit an A level in support of a career change. I had a really superb experience with the college. The online portal is easy to use. Teaching and learning materials are well curated to deliver the content. Tutors feedback is constructive, on point and quickly provided. These factors all help to ensure readiness for the exams themselves as well as development of a strong knowledge of the subject content. The administrative team were efficient and helpful. Only good experiences

The course materials were great and the tutors were very helpful, who were always available when my child needed support. We had a great experience especially with our student manager. A wonderful experience

I studied my IGCSE’s with Wolsey hall, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My familial situation made me the only one in charge of my studies, and all of my teachers made me motivated to work hard towards my goals, and actually enjoy learning. Especially as I was coming from the education curriculum from America, and didn’t quite have the same background as most people who start their IGCSE’s. All of my teachers were extremely helpful, especially my SPM (student progress manager) Laura Devanny, my biology teacher, Paul Hanlon, chemistry teacher, Ruth Cunliffe, and physics teacher, Mark Harding, were so supportive and always willing to give extra help and advice for exams. They really made such a difference to me. My geography teacher was always so kind and made me super excited to pick up my textbook. My English teacher genuinely made me enjoy the subject…which is no easy feat as it was never something I had previously been a fan of. (science is more my cup of tea). My math teacher gave me so many extra resources and was always there to help. She really made me enjoy learning math and I ended up studying math in my free time (I know, crazy) but seriously! My Spanish and Latin teachers were both so amazing at their job. You can really tell that they are passionate and love what they do, which really rubs off on you. All the classes are structured in very logical ways, which made learning a stress free experience while also covering the entire syllabi. I really appreciate how each assignment was basically treated as a practice exam, which gets you acquainted to exam style questions and allows you to see where you need to spend extra time on. All of my teachers critique was genuinely helpful and I really appreciated how they also recognized and pointed out things you were doing well on. I also really appreciated how they didn’t just expect you to understand from textbook alone. They give you so many extra resources like review notes, videos, etc. I really enjoyed the videos and review notes in particular because they made things more digestible, which came in super handy when revising! Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and I look forward to continuing my studies with Wolsey hall. Much thanks to everyone who helped me and gave me their time and support.

Homeschooling is great

I think we made a right decision to enrol our two daughters at Wolsey Hall. Initially we decided for homeschooling just because we could not find an affordable international school nearby but ended up it was the right decision. My kids were able to study at their own pace as it gave them enough time to understand the subjects thoroughly. Unlike in school systems where they will be rushed to complete the curriculum regardless if they have deep understanding of the subjects. The SPM Erica Abi Karam has been diligently monitoring their progress to ensure they are on right track. Thanks again for the tutors at Wolsey for their great support.

Wolsey Hall has been a great choice for part-time homeschooling

Wolsey Hall was chosen as a part time option to support my childrens' in-person schooling at a disappointing "progressive" school in Spain. Fortunately Wolsey Hall proved to be an excellent choice with much of the coursework very nicely presented and quite concisely also. You get lots of support from both the teachers and the student progress monitors and, even though it's not a physical school, you do feel as if you're a part of a school which is very nice. Firstly a huge thank you to our Student Progress Manager, Claire, who was absolutely fantastic. A real asset to Wolsey. She did a brilliant job keeping us informed, ironing out any difficulties, helping us and quite frankly made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. Our tutors, Paula, Lyndsay and Penelope were brilliant and the lessons exciting and appropriate. The negatives were the rising fees, lack of alternatives for those pupils unable to sit GCSEs and the sheer volume of printing and uploading which needs to be done. Other than that I really can't fault the school, it does an amazing job and we will be using it again once our youngest leaves Primary. From my experience I would recomend without hestitation. Very good home schooling

Very good home schooling. This is our first time doing homeschooling and Wolsey Hall is our perfect choice. The lessons are properly scheduled. The student progress manager and the tutors are excellent. Both our kids are loving the Wolsey Hall experience. We always get back reply for all our communications. There was a small delay in the arrival of our books due to a customs issue but the school supported us throughout the process and even send across study materials via email so that we could start our lessons as planned. I recommend Wolsey Hall to anyone who considers homeschooling. My kids are scoring better with the one to one attention they are getting here compared to traditional schooling. Relaxed learning

My son, Bilal, who is turning 11 years old, started home schooling with Wolsey 3 years ago(Year3). We are so happy and content with the support we receive from the SPMs and the tutors. We have now been able to perfect a learning system for Bilal. He has been able to catch up his Math course which we started a year behind(Year 2) in comparison with the other subjects. My daughter started home schooling two years ago with Wolsey Hall in which she has completed Year 8 & 9. Just to say thank you for a very positive experience at Wolsey Hall. My daughter became overwhelmed with stress and exam pressure at the beginning of year 11. A life without Wolsey Hall, I cannot imagine!

We have had a great experience with Wolsey Hall. Both of my children's lives and our lives are richer for the homeschooling experience with them. We love our teachers. The support we receive is incomparable and on a very personal level. They get to know the child at the heart. Having spent a few years in the "traditional" school environment, we feel that Wolsey Hall opened our eyes to a whole new type of education. We pay a huge amount of money in Zimbabwe for Private Education. Wolsey Hall is simply a fantastic!

Wolsey Hall is simply a fantastic school ! My daughter just finished her secondary education with this school. The tutor's and project managers are superb . The courses are demanding but are approached with constructive positivity! One of my favorites is when an assignment is graded the comments are listed under points of strength and points of action. This encouraged my daughter to apply herself , take action to learn, rather than purely focusing on a grade. In addition , if she needed help on a particular subject she could arrange for a private session with her tutor. Now she is off to the university of her dreams on a full scholarship. Elective Home Educating with Wolsey Hall Oxford

We have been elective home educating since November 2023 and the change in our daughter’s mental health has been amazing. We chose WH for online learning (year 7) and do not regret that decision at all. We have found the structure of the lessons; a mixture of textbook and interactive learning together with the assignment schedule is just what our daughter needs. The perfect schooling for our sons!

A very positive experience

A very positive experience for my daughter. The online IGCSE subjects that she completed were well organised, the assignments well spaced out, the feedback from tutors was helpful and encouraging. Excellent well established online school

When we were looking for a UK government approved home school for our daughter aged 15 Wolsey Hall oxford stood out to us from the start being one of the most experienced online home schools it made it a reassuring logical choice when our daughter changed from attending a physical school at the start of year 10. From our initial information zoom call we were really impressed with the online learning platform canvas and the range of GCSEs and the whole ethos and set up of the online school seemed quite straightforward and easy to use, when we signed up for our daughters GCSEs courses each subject course book arrived with us so fast then we all had some time to navigate and get used to canvas the online learning platform our daughter picked it up fast next we all met with her assigned student support manager Erica who has been a wonderful support to our daughter and to us too we all can contact Erica and she keeps in regular contact with our daughter having a super friendly point of contact like Erica with whom we can communicate with so easily has been so helpful in our home schooling journey she helps my daughter with extensions for assignments if she is struggling and she really encourages our daughter with positive and constructive feedback which really helps her mindset. The subject tutors are easy to reach if you have any questions you just feel less alone with Wolsey hall my daughter has become such an independent learner and is now so organised and is learning that reaching out for help is something she can now do without feeling so worried or anxious as Erica and all the tutors have been so kind and reassuring to her she wants to do her best and a huge weight has been lifted off her shoulders since she started at Wolsey hall oxford our daughter is so much happier and is far less anxious I'm so grateful to Wolsey hall for all the help and support they constantly provide my daughter is actually now looking forward to subjects she once disliked at school and is enjoying her Igcses and different subject challenges and it is so very wonderful to see her passionate and so engaged in her learning again thank you wolsey hall for making this transition to online learning so straightforward for us all

The Right Choice

Best decision I ever make

Wolsey Hall Oxford provides quality content and flexibility around learning

This is the second year that I am doing Wolsey Hall with my son (year 7 currently). The content is good quality and the lesson plans and structure are easy to follow. We like the flexibility around the lessons and assignments, it gives us freedom to do the lessons when it suits us, so its not bound to a certain day and time. The feedback from the tutors for assignments is very helpful as it helps us to see the progress and understanding of a subject very clearly.

Good learning resources and supportive staff

This is my son's third year at Wolsey Hall. Overall, there has been a very good and enjoyable experience. First of all, we appreciated that we could choose what courses to study, then there are plenty of learning resources and the tutors and the student managers have always been supportive and ready to help. There are two libraries my son has access to with lots of titles for various ages. We also appreciate the flexibility of the assignment schedule. For example, my son could submit assignments a few days earlier when he was ready, however in January he had a cold and a flu in February, and he was late with his assignments but nobody admonished him for that.

Great Experience with Wolsey Hall Oxford Homeschool

My daughter has been studying at Wolsey Hall Oxford since she was 6 years old. Now she is in her second year of schooling and in her Year 2. I am extremely satisfied with the programme offered and the teachers’ way in carrying out the lessons for my daughter was amazing. I am also convinced in the teaching methodology used at this online homeschool. It is to my expectancy. My daughter loved the offline teaching videos and she enjoy learning on her own. I am glad that I am giving her the right education needed at this young age. The teachers as well as the managers for my daughter were very friendly and organized. I can see a lot of improvement in her self independent skill as well. She learns Mathematical skills, spelling and reading words and also writing in a fun way.. Besides this, the way the concept of Mathematics taught ease the kid’s understanding and make the kid to have a love towards numbers. The designed syllabus makes my daughter to be creative, imaginative and futuristic. She learns problem solving as well and I am very much impressed in this. The teachers’ feedback and the way they approach me as a parent creates a great respect on them. I am fully satisfied with the way the teachers carry out the online lessons with my daughter and the way they approach her were very pleasing. Our experience at Wosley hall

Our experience at Wosley hall, my daughter and I , was a good one. Our family had been travelling between countries, and this was beginning to have a negative impact on our daughter ‘s education. My sister referred me to Wosley hall. She happens to have her two boys also currently studying there. My daughter took a bit of time to settle in as she was unfamiliar to it and not quite accustomed to Homeschooling. Our SPM and the teachers were wonderful. They took time to get us through the first sticky months and were always willing to share useful information and explain any grey areas. Thank you Wosley Hall team. Excellent school

Excellent school I transferred my daughter to Wolsey Hall 2 years ago after she found online classes had improved her studies and helped deal with anxiety better. Following that, she started IGCSEs, and the amount of support and flexibility we have received have been tremendous. There have been many personal problems along the way which hindered her studies but her SPM has supported us throughout the way. She has learnt and grown so much. Great tutors and SPM. Definitely recommend! We are leaving now but it’s been a great journey.

Quality curriculum and excellent support

We started homeschooling my 9 year old daughter 3 years ago, the last year with Wolsey Hall. We chose homeschooling for flexibility and the freedom to choose subjects and curriculums. We enrolled in Wolsey Hall initially for French and computing for assistance with lesson content and Geography and Science for convenience. The Wolsey Hall lesson plans and method of teaching was a good fit. Canvas is user friendly and the on the go accessibility a great advantage. The lesson plans is easy to follow, of excellent quality and the programs structured but still flexible enough in terms of scheduling. I found the feedback so useful that we enrolled for English and Maths as well later in the year. Our student progress manager and tutors are supportive, accessible and professional. My daughter finds the lesson content interesting and the constructive and positive way in which assignment feedback is given, encouraging. We feel supported on our homeschooling journey and enjoy learning with Wolsey Hall.

WH has met and exceeded our expectations.

Great for Adult Learners too!

My experience with Wolsey Hall has been exceptional so far and has enabled me, with the gentle guidance of my student progress manager, Pat Edwards, and tutors, to achieve results that I never thought possible before. I had a bad time at school for various reasons and was incredibly anxious about re-entering education. My confidence had been entirely stripped after leaving school with relatively poor results. However, since enrolling with Wolsey Hall I have achieved three 9's so far in English, Biology and Chemistry iGCSE's. I have also taken a further three in Physics, English Literature and Latin, which I am currently enjoying, and have enjoyed all so far, with the straight forward and well thought out courses. I especially prefer the fact we get physical textbooks, as many other places only offer the online platform. I am also hopefully thinking of continuing to do A levels here as well, with the ultimate aim of going to study at university (I have recently used the university advise option available, which again was extremely helpful and comforting to know there are people who can help guide you through the daunting process.) All my tutors have been great and extremely helpful as well- my first tutor Robyn really helped me believe in myself, as I never had much confidence in my writing abilities (believing I was more of a "maths person"), but it just goes to show with the right help and learning environment you are capable of much more. So I will always be grateful to Robyn and all my tutors. I'm also quite socially anxious and they have all been very understanding and never made me feel any embarrassment. In fact the opposite, I have only felt encouragement and acceptance from everyone. They offer support and help for all sorts of issues, which is in my opinion extremely important, as I know how damaging school environments can be. I never thought I would get the opportunity to have a second chance in this way, and in doing so, it has given me confidence and opened up possibilities that I feared I had lost. As an adult learner it is quite easy to feel daunted and overwhelmed with the notion of starting over, but you are never alone, and so long as you are ready to try, everyone is with you all the way.

An exceptional homeschooling provider!

I am so glad that we chose Wolsey Hall Oxford as our homeschooling provider and I would not consider another one. When my child decided to move to homeschooling we selected a number of subjects with Wolsey Hall but had a few with another homeschooling provider. At the end of the first year we had enough experience to be able to compare the two providers and the difference between them was striking. Wolsey Hall outperformed in every possible way. With Wolsey Hall your child gets: - progress manager who is there to support both the student and the parent. Our progress manager has been absolutely amazing in helping my daughter stay on track with her assignment schedule, to adjust the latter whenever needed, to be able to raise concerns at the right moment and time in a very professional manner and yet able to recognise good achievements and congratulate both parents and student. - a very professional tutor for each subject. Tutors are very approachable, your child can email/message them through the online platform used whenever they need additional support. As a parent you automatically receive copies of all such correspondence. The speed of assignments reviews is impressive, but more so is the structured feedback, with a lot of detail, explanation and further guidance whilst it never feels criticising for the student and always recognising the good points and achievements! We never got such structured feedback on assignments from state schools. It is the feedback that actually makes the assignments useful and helpful in the studying process - assignment schedule, designed with the particular requirements and plans of your child. Adjustable if plans/circumstances change but always made in a way to ensure your child completes all work on time and has plenty of time for revisions before exams. - information and guidance for sitting exams as private student. I had no clue where to begin from when my daughter's GCSE exams were approaching but at exactly the right time admin support sent emails containing everything I needed to know. So whilst Wolsey Hall do not organise the exams for you you are still supported though the process. - a lot of written and webinar based support and information for A levels, how to chose the right one for you depending on future plans. A lot of advice is also provided for university applications - additional online resources for your child to use free of charge - an online chat room for your child to connect with other Wolsey Hall students should they wished to do so - occasionally challenges/competitions are set for your child to take part should they wish to- - all textbooks and materials needed for the course are provided to your child, postage organised by Wolsey Hall - the website is very easy to use with prices very well explained with no hidden costs if yo choose Wolsey Hall you will get the private school level of support without breaking the bank. It is very good value for money service.

Tailor made, no stress, available anywhere

My son (15 years old) has been studying with Wolsey Hall for 4 years now. He started as Year 7 student and now he is preparing for his IGCSE having very successfully passed one exam already. For us Wolsey Hall turned out to be the perfect choice as we previously had lived in a different, not English speaking country, and wanted our child to have an international level education. We moved to a new country during these 4 years and got through COVID 19 restrictions without any impact on our child’s education. It was not interrupted or hampered in any way. The programme is tailor made: you can choose any combination of subjects. The school is using the best textbooks and an excellent easy navigational educational platform with clear explanations what and how to do it. The courses have a lot of additional materials available in each and every topic with brilliant explanations and relevant experiments. You have introductory Skype calls with the tutors and your Student progress manager all of whom are invariably extremely inspiring and motivational. Your Student progress manager sends you and your child a monthly report on the child’s progress highlighting any issues if any/ praising the hard work and excellent results and reminding your child of any further steps to be taken in relation to revision, etc. The child studies independently and he has a schedule of assignments on each subject to be adhered to. The tutors are available for any questions/doubts and respond promptly to any queries the child might have during the course. The tutors mark the assignments and provide detailed feedbacks. You can find a lot of advice on the platform as to how to organize the studies. The school has loads of extracurricular activities and clubs. They have a University advice team as well. My child is really happy we chose Wolsey Hall as this child-friendly, no stress school equips you with the necessary knowledge without any pressure. Wolsey Hall Oxford - top tier!!

I researched countless online school platforms for my 11-year-old daughter to work from. A school platform that wouldn't hold her back because of her age, but would let her learn at her own pace. My daughter was currently in year 6 in mainstream school but was incredibly bored, so Wolsey Hall Oxford allowed my daughter to complete a Year 7 readiness test and subsequently was given a Year 7 course to work with. The online support at Wolsey Hall Oxford from the teachers and the year manager has been excellent. My daughter has been able to contact the teachers any time by email, and she has always gotten a speedy response. The Year 7 coursework has been very easy to follow, and self-explanatory, the books that accompany the online course work is colourful, informative and from well-known publishes, so you know that the material is on par. My daughter is very self-motivated, and this has allowed me to get on with my own work, as the coursework provided is so thorough that I have very little input in her lessons and best of all, the teachers mark her classwork and have given thorough feedback, including the positive aspects as well as things that she needs to work on, which my daughter takes to heart and tried to improve upon. Rachel is now going into mainstream secondary school this year, and she did an induction day yesterday and she did so well in all her tests, and we could see how having been part of Wolsey Hall Oxford has made her so confident in her learning. Both my children were enrolled with Wolsey Hall; my son is in years 6 and 7, and my daughter for three years. My son excelled during his first year in his new brick-and-mortar school, partly because studying with Wolsey Hall had prepared him for the challenges of secondary school. Tutors

My experience with Wolsey Hall was wonderful, I had failed my first time IGCSE and they let me re-try again. It is not an online school more like a homeschool so you mostly rely on yourself most of the time and if needed extra support you will need to ask for help. My Student Progress Manager, Ms. Wendy, was very helpful in times needed and she kept me persistent when I was burning out in my studies as homeschooling can do that. Our experience with Wolsey Hall Oxford

I have never been so confident that choosing Wosley Hall Oxford for our son was the best decision. Our son has made excellent progress over four years. He became an independent learner and is not afraid to ask for help if needed. His tutors are always willing to help, explain things in more detail, and discuss what could be done better. There is plenty of materials to go through—lots of extra activities. In our opinion, the curriculum is rich and comprehensive. The school offers free clubs like chess, art & design, photography, creative writing, book club, debate, choir, access to the library, etc. Regarding socialising, there is a community\forum for children where our son meets students from all over the world. This experience is priceless. On top of that, we have a fantastic Student Progress Manager who: supervises our child's studies, makes the transition to the next year so much easier, helps with all queries and much more. We feel like this way of education helps our son to become an independent, self-confident and happy teenager. He developed lots of interest outside the school because he was not overwhelmed by it. From the perspective of the past four years, I wish we could do it earlier. It would save us time, worries and fatigue, not to mention the quality of education offered by Wosley Hall Oxford.

Consistently efficient and professional

My son completed year 8 courses with Wolsey Hall and my daughter did 6 subjects at IGCSE level. We have been delighted by the amazingly efficient and professional service provided by Wolsey Hall, and the level of learning. We have had experience with other home school providers, and the kids have friends studying through other platforms and they simply do not compare. We were hugely appreciative of the consistent support and encouragement we got from our student progress managers (Jennie and then Angela). We also really like the balance that Wolsey Hall strike between conventional textbook learning and digital content. Both my kids were delighted to consistently recieve marks in the 80's and 90's, and my daughter is delighted with A's in her first two subjects written at IGCSE (English lang and lit), she found she was well prepared by the courses, and that her course work was suitably challenging that the exams were if anything comparatively slightly easier. Homeschooling Year 4 in Zambia

My daughter is currently doing year 4 English through Wolsey Hall. The educational level is very high. The programme is practical, easy to follow, clearly laid out, full of different challenges and packed with a variety of educational tools. Course books are available to purchase, lesson plans are provided for each study day, and links to fun activities and specific tutoring material are available throughout. An online library is accessible and there are clubs to join and monthly competitions! Tutors and Student Progress Managers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Amazing! No need to sweat!

Our SPM (student progress manager) for the higher secondary school has been exceptional and has everything covered, from monthly reviews, advice, answering queries to being friendly, approachable and encouraging and most importantly having the ability to interact with a teenager. Tutors at Wolsey cannot be faltered. They encourage, inspire and their comments address all areas from strengths to weaknesses and how to improve and move forward. Best of all they are approachable and willing to help your child to do the best they can. Along with great tutors, Wolsey Hall has excellent interactive structured courses with access to multiple websites and quizzes. The UK exams officer at Wolsey has been absolutely amazing and made the process of applying for IGCSEs stress free. We can honestly say Wolsey have everything covered from start to finish and the whole experience has actually been a pleasant one. Best place to start your home schooling journey

This is our second year with Wolsey Hall and our experience is really positive from day one. I can clearly see my kids are showing a huge improvement and progressing well. I am really grateful for our student progress managers Ms.Tara and Ms. Rechell for their continuous support and all the teachers who are incredibly professional and friendly. We always get timely responses from them whenever we need assistance. Their feedback on assignments are detailed and helps a lot to improve. All the courses are well structured and easy to follow. Lots of extra resources and subscriptions which keep the kids engaged. I will not think twice to recommend Wolsey Hall to anyone.

I enrolled my child in Wolsey Hall…

I enrolled my child in Wolsey Hall almost three years ago, and I have been extremely impressed with the quality of education that she has received. The online platform is user-friendly and easy to navigate, making it simple for my child to access their lessons and assignments. The curriculum is comprehensive and challenging, providing my child with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their studies. One of the best things about Wolsey Hall is the flexibility it provides. My child is able to complete her schoolwork at her own pace and on her own schedule, allowing her to balance the studies with other activities and responsibilities. This has been especially helpful during the COVID-19 pandemic, when traditional in-person schools have been forced to close or limit their operations. Fantastic experience of homeschooling!

I love Wolsey Hall. I was nervous about starting down the homeschooling route but they have made it easy and enjoyable. It's all super organised, and I just love the flexibility and being able to tailor the course levels to your child's needs. Outstanding!

I highly recommend Wolsey Hall. I am a Primary School teacher and was hired as a private tutor for a 7 y.o boy. The content is of high quality and the course is incredibly well structured. The platform is user friendly and the lesson plans very easy to follow. There is a large amount of available resources, for extra curricular activities as well. Even though it’s an online school, you really feel supported and part of a community. My son is 11 and this is his second…

My son is 11 and this is his second year at Wolsey Hall. I can say that we've had a wonderful experience so far. The course materials are very useful and well structured, there are a lot of additional resources available, and their platform Canvas is easy to use even for people who are not technology experts. We really appreciate the flexibility we have, as he is studying English Year 5 and Maths Year 7. My son also finds the Library very useful and he enjoys the Student Forum. I have been most impressed by the staff's readiness to support and encourage us for more than a year. They have always answered promptly any questions I had and my son's progress has been closely followed and acknowledged. We are both very happy with our choice of school.

We began with WH in 2020, and haven’t looked back.

As a family, we had never contemplated homeschooling, but as with many families, lockdown changed all that. Schools have finally re-opened in Uganda now, but we love homeschooling with WH so much we haven’t gone back! When we were faced with the need to homeschool our girls, we did a lot of research about what would suit our girls best, and were so excited to find WH. We were reluctant to use an online programme, leaving them on screens all day, or to enter into the world of workbooks and sheets! We wanted to be a part of their learning, to learn with them and be part of their education. We began with WH in 2020, and haven’t looked back. We received a lot of support from the WH team in choosing the right level for our daughters to start, acquiring the text books and understanding how Canvas and the lesson plans worked. Our eldest daughter is now in year 4, and our second daughter is in year 3. We will have no hesitation about enrolling our third daughter and son when they are old enough. Our girls study English, Maths and Science at WH. The curriculum helps us feel like we are going an appropriate level and pace for the girls, but at the same time the lessons are interesting, varied and stimulating. We are very grateful for the flexibility that homeschooling gives us, allowing us to fit it around life, health and work. Natural pauses can be made as needed and no work is missed. We both work full-time, but the clear lesson plans and easy to follow structure means we can focus on the teaching and learning and not on the lesson planning. The access to multiple online platforms, including the extensive e-library, has been a fantastic addition to the lessons. Our Student Progress Manager, Vicky, has always been very supportive and helpful with any questions or challenges we have had with the course, always responding by email the same day. Our tutors, Tanja and Rachel, have been awesome, having zoom calls with the girls every 1-2 months to encourage and support them in their work. It has been hugely helpful to have someone outside the family to offer support and to be accountable too. Our girls look forward to these catch up sessions, to discuss their work, do some reading and to share recent experiences together. Their timely, helpful and in-depth feedback on the assignments helps us all improve and grow. We never dreamed we would be a homeschooling family, but WH has changed that. Being a British family living in Uganda, we had always planned to move back to the UK for secondary school, but WH will allow us to continue living and studying in Uganda for as long as we need too. We couldn’t be more happy with WH and the experience we have had.

Best Decision Ever

Homeschooling is a difficult decision to make for most parents as with anything there are positive and negative aspects. As such before I enrolled my daughter at Wolsey, I did my homework. Pleased with what I read, I took a chance and enrolled her. And what a great experience it has been. From Angela, her Student Progress Manager, who is both supportive and available. Answering questions, liaising with tutors and even sending my daughter congratulatory emails on assignments. Angela has maintained wonderful and open lines of communications. To my daughter's tutors who have been fantastic, not only in marking her assignments and work but in providing constructive criticism, offering support and teaching her how to learn and think when applying one's knowledge. The subjects themselves are great, Wolsey Oxford offering a good range of interesting and relevant subject choices. With her tutors help, my daughter has learned to embrace her studies and apply her knowledge as such. A life skill of great value. A great experience

The best online education available.

Though out my families learning journey, Wolsey hall has been amazing. The lesson plans are easy to follow, the standard of teaching guides are exceptional and assignment feedback is brilliant in helping the child develop and grow. The support and little learning tips offered from the teachers (Andrea Bettie) ( James Hazel) has been phenomenal, always being there for crazy questions. The learning support (Deja) was always kind and patient with my son with Dyslexia. The student progress manager (Cathe Heron) was always understanding and reassuring when sickness, family emergency's occurred so the program had to be moved slightly. We loved her little birthday messages, it made us all feel connected and cared for. It really has been a flexible, fun, way to learn and I know that my kids are confident, happy, global students.

My daughter decided to move over to…

My daughter decided to move over to home schooling beginning of last year and has never looked back. She loves the flexibility and being able to study at her own pace. The material and assignments were clear and well explained and she rarely needed additional help. Most of the time she was also able to google something if she needed further info and found that easy and insightful. If necessary the tutors obviously also assisted and were always really great with providing detailed feedback on her assignments. Her marks improved by 10-15% since she started homeschooling. She also enjoyed that tutors were not subjective like lots of teachers at schools who have their favorite students and who can make or break a subject.

Wolsey Hall Oxford, the best home school provider

Since the emergence of Covid in 2020, my husband and I, started considering an alternative way of schooling for our 2 children. High quality education, a British international curriculum and a Cambridge accredited home school provider, enabling our children to study any place in the world, were our main aims. I must admit Wolsey Hall Oxford accomplished so much more than those initial aims! Our children thrive in this environment where lesson content is always interesting and interactive. Our son is Twice Exceptional (2E) and the learning support center under management of Deja Pygott, made the necessary accommodations for him, to enable him to flourish academically. The ongoing support and constructive feedback from our Student Progress Manager, Charlotte Casey and subject tutors (Emilie Champion, Rachel Pereira da Silva, Nathalie Hanney, Ed Morris and James Hazel) enables our 2 children (daughter aged 9 and son aged 11 years) to accomplish all their study goals with eagerness and success. An A* School!

My kids have been with Wolsey Hall for the past 5 years now and we’ve never had a single minute’s regret. Their tutors are highly knowledgeable and offer invaluable feedback on every assignment; it was not even 2 assignments later that my children had been pushed up into a completely different league in terms of grades and quality of work due to tutor feedback. The friendly and relaxed nature of the tutors makes working with them a joy for my kids and they inspire a sense of respect and esteem for their work and the school. Supporting staff are with you every step of the way: from ordering books, working out a year-plan, right up-to the day of examination and even further on, through comprehensive university advice. The staff are friendly and helpful and seem to think it only standard practice to go above and beyond every time. But it is the non-academic aspects of Wolsey Hall that my kids have been very taken with. The virtual clubs, monthly competitions and online community page make up for anything kids think they might be missing out on at school and then some! We are beyond pleased with everything Wolsey Hall offers, though we do wish they would accommodate more design and art focused subjects. Nevertheless we fully intend to work with them right up until the end of the childrens’ school career, their comprehensive and successful approach to examinations and schooling during COVID speaks volumes to how they are equipped for the future of learning.

Transferring my daughter's studies to Wolsey Hall - best decision ever.

My daughter joined distance learning at Wolsey Hall in December 2016. Prior to that she attended international schools in the Middle East and North Africa. For work projects we relocated almost every 2 years, and Evangelista plays big tennis professionally. So when she reached 11 years of age and we had moved continents once more in summer 2016, we decided to move out of regular schooling into home studies, so to avoid permanent stress of adjusting to different curriculums and being tied to physical places. It was our personal experience of adjusting to our own schedule and discipline that we found challenging for the first few months. Though the school Student Managers and Tutors were the most supporting of our first few months working on helping us smoothly transition into home studies. Eventually my daughter adjusted the best to the self organising with her subjects. And for so many years now the schooling at Wolsey Hall is the most pleasant experience we ever had with schools. Organisation is of absolute high quality, the platform is organised at best level, everything is clear, information is always systematic, logical, well explained, additional resources provided, no delays in any aspect, and the Student Manager and the Tutors - are the most pleasant people and professionals at their jobs. Communication is always timely on the School Staff's part and we feel always comfortable addressing any subject questions and administrative queries. We get prompt responses and assistance. I truly appreciate the fact that 5 years back I chose Wolsey Hall for my daughter. She is the most happiest child doing her studies with this school. She grew into a confident young girl thanks to the whole homeschooling experience; she appreciates the freedom of making her own choices, knows the worth of her self efforts, she learnt her own time management, and her grades are the highest now more than have ever been in regular schools. She grew to love doing Math, which was not the case in her past regular schooling, thanks to the Wolsey Hall Math Tutor's encouragement and feedback and all the additional resources that are offered within the module. Wolsey Hall - an outstanding online school

My son has just started his second year with Wolsey Hall and completed 3 IGCSE's in one year, all of which he passed with very good grades. He will continue with a further 4 subjects this year. His tutors have been incredible, their feedback is swift, thorough and professional, and they all make a huge effort to ensure that my son is supported throughout the assignments. Exceptional online school

My 2 daughters have been exclusively home schooled from the start, and Wolsey Hall Oxford is the 3rd (and last) school we have enrolled them at. They have been with Wolsey Hall for about 4 years now, and as a homeschooling family, we are very happy to have such an outstanding school supporting our daughters in their educational journey. The material made available for study ie textbooks, online resources, the remarkable Ms Nicola Timbrell, and notable tutor assistance aided our daughters in getting good results. A wonderful experience

Our three children spent 2 years studying with Wolsey Hall for their IGCSE and had a wonderful experience. Their IGCSE results are outstanding which is due to their hard work and the support and standard of education from Wolsey Hall. The children learnt how to manage their own study time and gained independence while at the same time having great support when needed from their wonderful Student Progress Manager Rona, and their subject tutors. Through the Covid pandemic their education was not interrupted and they were able to study as normal. World class education

We have used wh for the last 4 years and we never looked back. Tutors are supportive, lessons are challenging and yet extremely accessible to kids. We were very shocked at how little UK schools do and since working with wh we ve never ever even remotely thought of considering tradition schools. The curriculum is expanded when and where appropriate by extremely prepared teachers. We have great technical and organisational support by our progress manager (e. Di Ceglie) who is always present. A great experience for anyone interested in giving their kids the education they deserve.

Excellent

I did Chemistry, Physics and a Computer Science IGCSE with Wolsey Hall. This way of learning really suited me and is extremely flexible. My Progress Manager (Tina Nourse) and Tutors were amazing and really helpful, and mostly replied within 1 day maximum. It's a shame they require GCSE Maths, English and subject specific requirements for their A Level Courses, otherwise I would have definitely done Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths A Level Courses with them.

No regrets at all.... Wolsey Hall are excellent.

A work move to Tokyo meant we had to make some tough decisions on A Level education for our son. Shopping around it was clear there was a plethora of distance learning providers, but Wolsey Hall seemed to stand out. We plumped for them, based upon their references and we were not disappointed; in fact we were delighted. Our son enrolled for three A Levels and it was clear from day one that Wolsey Hall were attentive, rigorous, disciplined and a delight for him to deal with. Feedback from the coursework was fast, comprehensive and very personalised, his tutors always accessible and delight to deal with, providing excellent exam preparation. The administration of the books, coursework, lesson plans and other issues was spot-on. Wolsey Hall has our strongest recommendation and they have our fulsome praise and thanks for their efforts; he passed all three with great grading and will start University this year. My Son wears his Wolsey Hall sweatshirt with pride, they are very much his Alma Mater. Delighted!

Wolsey Hall is an excellent school for young adults to excel in their studies. Using the homeschooling system allows adolescents to develop a sense of orderliness, perseverance, patience and importance of achievement. The way the system works is very clear, efficient and straightforward with many resources provided. Exceptional Experience

My daughter is an American student studying with Wolsey Hall. I knew very little about the Cambridge curriculum when my daughter began her IGCSE studies, but Wolsey Hall has made every effort to help both of us along the way. Their tutors are excellent, the materials they offer are thorough and I cannot say enough good things about their support staff. My daughter achieved very high marks on her IGCSE exams and is now studying A levels with Wolsey Hall. I highly recommend them for anyone wanting an exceptional learning experience.

A well structured and enjoyable learning process.

We wanted a GCSE course subject that was not available at our son's school and so approached Wolsey Hall Oxford. We are extremely happy with both the course and even more happy about the result: a 9! Communication was always swift and professional, the skype tutoring sessions (Modern Foreign Languages) were focused and thorough, and the deadlines for submission of assessments were clear and easy to plan ahead and work towards. We would certainly approach Wolsey Hall again for other subjects and/or other siblings.

OUTSTANDING EDUCATION.. Very kind, friendly and Supportive Tutors and Staff, right from the starting day, always prompt in responding to questions as and when required. Her lessons are planned out very well and set in an organised pattern for her to have a proper understanding of all her subjects.
