Advice Service

University and career success for homeschooled students

Leading universities and employers worldwide welcome homeschooled students. Our specialist Careers and University Advisory Service can support your child to make the right choices as they move on to the next stage of their education or into the world of work.

Expert guidance from an experienced advisor

The service is provided by Sarah Wilson, a highly experienced independent educational advisor with over 25 years’ experience supporting students to take their next steps with confidence. Your child can benefit from advice on applying to universities in the UK and internationally, as well as a range of consultation options if they’d prefer to move directly into employment or an apprenticeship.

A track record of successful University applications

We’ve supported students to make successful applications to some of the world’s top universities, including the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, MIT and Yale University. Whichever path your child chooses, we’re here to guide them on the steps they need to take to make a successful start in their higher education or career.

When to access the service

To ensure your child chooses A Level subjects that best match their preferred university course, we recommend accessing our Career and University Advisory Service by the end of their first year of A Level study at the latest. Many universities have complex and lengthy admissions processes, particularly in the United States, so you’ll need time to make a strong application before the deadline. Many of our students find it helpful to use this service before choosing their IGCSE and/or A Level courses.
