I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Education from the University of Newcastle, Australia. I then gained my Masters in Education from Anglia Ruskin University in the UK. I have over 20 years’ experience teaching high school Science in a variety of settings in both Australia and the UK.

Due to the pandemic and the need to shield and then homeschool my son, who has a complex congenital heart defect, I found a passion for Primary education. To read to your child is wonderful, but to see a child learn to read and read to you is magical. To also develop their writing skills is amazing.

Outside of work, I am a keen runner – having completed the London Marathon twice, for charities which I loved fundraising for. I have two children, so we love getting out and about to our local wood, farm, or beach for fun.
