Business and Economics are dynamic subjects, requiring you to be aware of, and inquisitive about the world around you. They are exciting subjects to study, allowing you to develop your understanding of the way economies work, focusing on businesses that interest you, while developing the skills of analysis and evaluation. Having a clear understanding of how businesses work and the skills to assess and make strategic, balanced judgements will help you succeed in business in the future.

I grew up in a family of business people, so it was no surprise that I went onto university to study Accountancy and Human Resource Management upon leaving school. With my degree completed, I worked in various businesses ranging from banking to community development, to software development. I then retrained as a teacher, and ever since then I have specialised in teaching Economics and Business Studies at I/GCSE and A level.

I have been teaching for over 15 years now, and I love the variety it brings. I have been a teacher, a pastoral Tutor, a Head of Department and an enrichment coordinator, career lead, academic tutor and an examiner at both GCSE and A level. I also Tutor online and on holiday revision courses.

I live in Donegal, Ireland, and when I am not teaching or tutoring, I take full advantage of the natural beauty of the area by being a keen walker, swimmer and cyclist. Recently I have taken up golf which is proving a little trickier than I had thought!

I am delighted to be part of the Wolsey Hall Tutor team, and I look forward to sharing my passion for Business, Economics and learning while supporting you through your course.
