Overview

Our IGCSE™ Latin homeschooling course offers a unique opportunity for your child to explore language history with imagination and creativity. As well as building their knowledge of this ancient language, they will examine the lifestyle, duties and pastimes of a Roman citizen, along with the culture and legacy of the Roman Empire. Through this course, students will:

  • Understand Latin and recognise its influences on modern European languages.
  • Develop an analytical approach to language learning by comparing Latin with other languages.
  • Explore Latin literature to inspire a deeper appreciation of Rome’s legacy and a personal connection to what is studied.

Our experienced University and Careers Advisor can provide support with choosing the right GCSE Level courses for your child’s ambitions, as well as all aspects of applying to university including UCAS references, interview preparation and more.
