University Advisory Service

Expert University guidance every step of the way

Choosing the right university is the biggest decision your child will make during their education, and the sheer number of options – coupled with complex application processes – can feel overwhelming. That’s why Wolsey Hall Oxford students have access to our University Advice Service, delivered by our Universities Advisor Sarah Wilson. From choosing the right A Level courses and drawing up a shortlist of universities to perfecting their personal statement, our University Advice Service is there to support your child through every stage of their application.

University advice you can trust

University admissions processes are more complex than ever, and there are different admissions requirements from one country to the next. You and your child can get ahead by using our University Advisory Service to understand exactly what’s required from the outset. We can provide advice on questions such as:

  • What subjects should I take at A Level?
  • Do I need to improve my existing grades?
  • What extracurricular and co-curricular activities should I be considering?
  • What are the application requirements of the countries I’m considering?
  • When should I start the application process?
  • What forms will I need to complete?
  • What should I write in my application essays, personal statement and/or CV?
  • How can I apply for scholarships and financial aid?
  • Do I need to take any additional tests, such as SAT, ACT or English Language?
  • How can I best present my homeschooling experience to institutions?

Please note that our University Advisory Service is for students already enrolled with Wolsey Hall Oxford, and as part of our admissions process.
