Our  Lower Secondary Music course will help your child develop an understanding of different genres of Music (waltz, samba, raga, classical, baroque, rock and pop), as well as learn about music from different cultures and films.

Your child will also have opportunities to create Music individually, as well as deepen their knowledge of music theory. This all-encompassing course is an exciting addition to our existing Lower Secondary courses.

Lower Secondary course information

The syllabus and hours of study

  • Our Lower Secondary Music course assumes basic knowledge of Grade 2 Music Theory.
  • Students must be receiving instrumental or singing lessons as an accompaniment to this course.
  • The course follows the Cambridge Lower Secondary Music Curriculum Framework.
  • Allow for approximately 1.5 hours per week of study time for your child to complete each year of Music plus additional time for completing assignments.
  • We find that most children can complete the course in 9 months.

Course Fees

The fee for Lower Secondary Music is £570 via instalments. There is a discount of 5% for payment in full reducing the fee to £545.
