Homeschooling in Ireland

Wolsey Hall Oxford has seen a steady rise in the number of families homeschooling in Ireland. We support students from Primary and Secondary age on the English national curriculum through to IGCSE and A Levels.

The majority of our IGCSE and A Level courses follow the Cambridge board. CAIE qualifications are recognised by top universities in the UK and around the world.

Once children in Ireland reach six years old, they are required to be in education. If you wish to homeschool you need to register your intention with TUSLA the Child and Welfare Agency which gives detailed advice including a comprehensive application form.

Many parents home educating in Ireland find following a structured curriculum makes the process of homeschooling much easier.
