Homeschooling in New Zealand

Homeschooling courses for ages 4-18

Homeschooling in New Zealand is well established and numbers have increased markedly in the last 15 years.

Wolsey Hall Oxford courses offer the structure, materials and support you will need to gain a Ministry of Education Certificate of Exemption in order to home educate your children.

Our courses all include regular assignments that are marked by our Tutors who provide detailed feedback. The results are stored in our online Canvas platform so that you have a record of progress.

Each family is allocated a Student Progress Manager who will help plan a schedule of work and will ensure your child keeps on track with gentle prompts if required.

Our Cambridge IGCSE and A level Courses are accepted by universities around the world.

Our UK trained team of Tutors provide strong support and feedback and are committed to a 3- 5 working day feedback on assignments to keep your child motivated and engaged.

We will also be able to provide information on the most convenient exam centre for your child.

IGCSE and most A level exams are taken in May or October sittings. A level Science International exams are taken in January.

How the UK education system works

Meet Jack

Jack attends school in New Zealand but also studies Maths and English IGCSE with Wolsey Hall. His mum Michelle explains;

“The style of exams the IGCSE offers suits Jack’s learning style and he is doing very well. I like the fact that they are recognised internationally. It’s interesting to see that the A levels are considered highly in the requirements for NZ universities.
