This course enables students to become safe, skilled and responsible users of digital technology. It prepares students for the future by helping them to identify future risks along with opportunities to understand the speed at which technology, and its applications, is changing. There is no coding included in this course.

The syllabus and hours of study

Our Lower Secondary Digital Literacy homeschooling courses assumes no prior knowledge.

  • The course follows the Cambridge Lower Secondary Digital Literacy Curriculum Framework.
  • Allow for up to 1.5 hours per week of study time for your child to complete each part of Lower Secondary Digital Literacy plus additional time for completing assignments.
  • We find that most children can complete the course in 9 months.

Hardware and software requirements

The course is web-based so a Chromebook or equivalent can be used.

Students will need a Google account (students under 13 will need a child account therefore their parents will also need a Google Account to set this up)
