Creating a list of universities

Be organised

“If you think education is expensive, try estimating the cost of ignorance.” – Howard Gardner

There are over 26,000 universities around the globe. With this mind-boggling number to pick from, every Wolsey Hall Oxford student can be guaranteed that there is a place – or many – out there that is just right for them. However, with such an array of choice it can be difficult to know where to start, nevermind how to hone in on what places are really going to offer the best ‘fit’.

To get started, we recommend using a 4-step strategy:

1. Research yourself: Who are you? and What do you want?
2. Research the institutions: Find out what they offer.
3. Make some matches: Pick between 10-15 Universities that look like they meet your preferences, interests and abilities. Have fun with it!
4. Balance the list: Analyse the list to make sure it includes institutions with a range of entrance requirements and cost.

As you are researching, below are some of the big factors that you will want to consider. These are the elements that are usually most relevant in linking up to students’ personal priorities:

Wolsey Hall Oxford is a registered school of Cambridge Assessment International Education

Wolsey Hall Oxford is a registered online Cambridge International School.

Wolsey Hall Oxford is a Pearson Edexcel approved centre

Our University Advisors will be able to help you with both UK and International University applications.
