Overview

Our Primary English as a Second Language (E2L) course is designed for children aged 7 and above who are new to learning English as an additional language.

Through engaging and clearly structured lessons, your child will develop foundational skills in grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking and listening — helping them to participate more confidently in subjects taught in English and prepare for our full Primary English course.

The course follows the Cambridge Primary English as a Second Language curriculum at Stage 3, providing a recognised and carefully sequenced learning pathway. Each topic builds confidence step by step, with plenty of practical activities to reinforce new language skills.

We strongly recommend that an adult with working knowledge of English supports your child throughout the course — offering encouragement, explanation and guidance where needed.

While no formal previous study is required, the course assumes your child can already understand and use basic English to express simple needs. If you're unsure of the right starting point, we offer a placement check to guide you.
