Overview

Our Primary Music course encourages your child to explore music in a fun, creative and accessible way — learning to listen, perform, compose and understand the foundations of musical theory. The course builds both practical and theoretical skills across four progressive levels.

Your child will begin by learning the recorder, which is included with the course. Along the way, they’ll explore musical genres, study film scores, experiment with composition using everyday materials, and gain confidence through regular performance. By the end of Level 4, they’ll have a strong foundation in theory and performance — comparable to early formal music grades such as ABRSM Grade 3 for recorder.

Whether your child is new to music or already has some experience, they can move through the levels at their own pace — building confidence, creativity and a lifelong appreciation of music.

Our Primary Music homeschooling course covers the Music requirements of the English National Curriculum over the course of four levels of study.
