Flexibility of subject choices

Most of our Malaysian homeschoolers are taught at home with their parents acting as invaluable support. However, we are also pleased to work with schools and Malaysian homeschooling centres.

By following a Wolsey Hall Oxford Secondary Level education, your children can choose which subjects to take and will not be streamed into either arts or science. This gives them the flexibility to take a mixture of both arts and science subjects at IGCSE Level and beyond if they wish.

More information

Families choose homeschooling in Malaysia because of their wish for a more flexible education for their children. They also appreciate their children being tutored by UK trained teachers, experienced in the techniques required for success in the Cambridge exams.

One of our homeschooling families living in Malaysia with their two children has keep a record of their homeschooling journey. To find out more about the realities of homeschooling in Malaysia read their blog.

Homeschooling with Wolsey Hall has not just enabled my children to develop various academic skills; but it has also facilitated a more holistic learning experience. The engaging course materials and resources have sparked their interests and widened their knowledge. Flexibility with Online Homeschooling has meant they are able to volunteer in community projects. Constructive feedback on assignments has facilitated their learning experience positively.

Wolsey Hall provides the flexibility both in time and schedule for my child and me. We are free to Skype the teachers when we need clarification. The subjects are structured and orderly. The assignment based ‘homework/testing’ provides the child with the required written work needed for understanding of the subject matter. Nathalia is 11 years old and she’s doing Maths, Science, English and Geography.

Studying Secondary Level at Wolsey Hall has enabled me to study at my own pace. If I was interested in a topic, I don’t have to wait; I could speed ahead and reach my full potential.

I compared several homeschooling providers and although all charge similar fees (some even slightly lower!) I decided on Wolsey Hall Oxford because I felt confident about the help and care my daughter would receive. The support we receive is excellent. I would recommend Wolsey Hall to parents who care, not only about grades, but about the study experience as a whole. Students receive the respect they deserve and they get the encouragement to move forward despite sometimes having difficulties.
