Wolsey Hall is a registered online Cambridge International School.
We offer a wide range of IGCSE courses.
Our Cambridge IGCSE Maths homeschooling course will provide your child with a strong grounding in the subject and fully prepare them for the IGCSE exam. They may take it at Extended level (up to grade A* or 9), or at Core level (up to grade C or 5).
Grade C or 4 is required by most universities and employers. Grade A or A* (or 7 – 9) provides evidence that your child has the skills for further study in Maths and the Sciences.
Wolsey Hall is a registered online Cambridge International School.
We offer a wide range of IGCSE courses.
• Previous study: CAIE recommends that learners starting the IGCSE Maths course should have studied a Mathematics curriculum such as the Cambridge Lower Secondary programme or equivalent national educational framework such as the Key Stage 3 programme of study within the National Curriculum for England (Years 7-9).
• The IGCSE Maths course takes about 180 hours to complete. It may be more or less depending on your child’s learning ability.
We are pleased to be able to offer Wolsey Hall students the opportunity to book 1:1 IGCSE Maths tuition. Each session lasts 45 minutes.
Our courses are designed with a self-study approach, however, you may wish your child to have the opportunity to discuss a particular topic area with a Tutor and our 1:1 sessions allow them to direct their learning in this way.
Please note that this is an add-on service that incurs an additional fee.
Our Extended and Core courses meet the requirements of Cambridge IGCSE Maths syllabus 0580 and 9-1 0980. The Extended syllabus is broader and covers more topics than the Core. Assessment includes two written papers:
Extended Exam:
1 hour and 30 mins (35% of the total marks)
2 hours and 30 mins (65% of the total marks)
Core Exam:
1 hour (35% of the total marks)
2 hours (65% of the total marks)
All of our IGCSE courses include a number of past exam papers in the final module. These include the most recent paper which can be taken as a mock exam and submitted to your Tutor for assessment and feedback for a modest additional fee.
Please note that this course sample is only for exams up until October 2024. The final examinations for this syllabus are October 2024 – no further examination opportunities are possible after this date. We are now enrolling students on the new syllabus valid for examination in 2025.
The fee for IGCSE Maths is £690 via instalments. There is a discount of 5% for payment in full reducing the fee to £655. Read more about our fees and discounts, see what our fees include or use our fee calculator to find out the total cost of the courses you select. If you’re not delighted with your course, let us know within 45 days and we’ll refund your course fee (less the cost of the books).
Our IGCSE English Language homeschooling course will enable your child to communicate clearly and effectively. These skills are vital for entry to higher education and in the workplace. A good grade in IGCSE English Language (C or 4 or better) is evidence of these skills. It will satisfy the English Language entrance requirements of universities, and meet the needs of employers everywhere.
How does gravity work? In our Cambridge IGCSE Physics homeschooling course your child will learn the answer to this and many other questions. They will explore the basic building blocks of the universe – energy and matter. They’ll be introduced to a range of interesting phenomena and discover surprising explanations for everyday things we see and take for granted.
In many ways our Cambridge IGCSE History homeschooling course is like studying literature. It’s easy to understand the story of a book as you read it, but it takes deeper thought to understand the themes, characters, symbolism and message of a book. In the same way it takes deeper thought to understand why something has happened in History or why it still affects the world today.
Our Cambridge IGCSE French homeschooling course is based around the language skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing, Psychological studies have found that speaking a second language, such as French, is a great asset to the cognitive process. The brains of bilingual people operate differently than those of single language speakers.
You have been most helpful and straightforward to deal with, not every organisation behaves in this way so I would not hesitate to recommend your courses to others. Our son Rupert is doing great in his IGCSE Maths course and we may well add extra courses in time.

I have nothing but praise for Wolsey Hall, such a great organisation, very professional but at the same time supportive and friendly. The Student Progress Manager was not only a great support for my son but was always there for me too when I needed advice. Deniz has been studying IGCSE Biology, English Lang, History & Maths.
