Overview

Our IGCSE™ Co-ordinated Sciences homeschooling course offers your child the chance to study Biology, Chemistry and Physics within a scientifically coherent syllabus. This course is a good option if your child would like to develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of science and its applications, but doesn’t want to specialise in individual science subjects. It is a double award qualification, accounting for two grades and allowing your child to:

  • Explore Biology, Chemistry and Physics in separate modules for a well-rounded understanding of the scientific world.
  • Discover key scientific principles, learn about their real-world applications and focus on building practical skills.
  • Develop essential scientific skills that will support further study and career paths.

Our experienced University and Careers Advisor can provide support with choosing the right GCSE Level courses for your child’s ambitions, as well as all aspects of applying to university including UCAS references, interview preparation and more.

Additional information

Study method: A self-directed mix of online and offline learning with structured multimedia content. You will be supported throughout your studies with expert Tutor feedback as well as guidance from a dedicated 1:1 Student Progress Manager. Students can book 1:1 sessions with a Tutor for this course for an additional fee.

We offer two IGCSE ™ Co-ordinated Sciences courses: Extended, which prepares students for exams aiming for grades A*-E (9-4), and Core, which targets grades C-G (5-1). If a student is unsure about which course to choose, they can begin with the Extended course. We’ll keep track of their progress in the first few modules and, if needed, happily support a smooth transition to the Core course.
