Wolsey Hall Oxford has chosen the Cambridge IGCSE to be the examination board for all the IGCSE subjects we currently offer.
The CAIE IGCSE (previously CIE) or Cambridge Assessment International Education IGCSE is equivalent to the UK GCSE exam and leads directly on to the Cambridge GCE Advanced level courses (A Levels). These qualifications are accepted by universities around the world.
The Cambridge International Exam board is wholly owned by Cambridge University and like Wolsey Hall, is a not-for-profit organisation.
For all subjects, the Cambridge IGCSE is assessed by a final exam, making it particularly suitable for study at home. There is no “coursework” element required.
There is no upper age limit for students wishing to take a Cambridge IGCSE and Wolsey Hall Oxford welcomes Adult Learners.

Many students at IGCSE level have not yet formed a clear career path, so taking a good mix of subjects will enable students to keep their options open as they approach their A Level choices.

These exams can be taken in the UK and in over 150 countries worldwide.
Results are issued in August and January.
Exams are graded A* to G with A* being the highest grade. Typically Universities and employers would consider a Grade C to be a pass.
CAIE (previously CIE) provide lots of useful revision resources on their website including past papers with mark schemes for all subjects and some specimen papers.
You may apply for a homeschooling course online with Wolsey Hall at any time of the year.
