Overview
A world-class start for children aged 4–11
At Wolsey Hall Oxford, our Primary homeschooling courses are designed to give children aged 4 to 11 the best possible foundation for future learning. Whether you're looking for a structured alternative to traditional schooling, or need a more flexible education that fits around your family’s lifestyle, our personalised, parent-guided approach will empower your child to unleash their imagination.
We divide Primary level into two key stages: Lower Primary (ages 4–7) and Upper Primary (ages 7–11). In Lower Primary, you’ll play a very active role in supporting your child’s learning, with the help of multimedia resources and guidance from our expert team. As they move through Upper Primary, they’ll become a more confident and independent learner who can engage with their courses with reduced support.
All our Primary courses adhere to the English National Curriculum and the Cambridge curriculum, providing a rigorous and high-quality education wherever you are in the world. Subjects are brought to life through multimedia materials, interactive activities and tailored tutor feedback – allowing your child to learn in a way that works best for them.
Throughout their journey with us, your child will be supported by UK-qualified Tutors and a dedicated Student Progress Manager. You’ll also have access to our vibrant online Primary school community, where they can join clubs, enter competitions, and connect with other students around the world. It’s a fun and safe space that supports both academic progress and social development.
Whether you’re based in the UK or homeschooling internationally, our online, personalised approach to Primary school education ensures your child will get the best start, giving you the resources, structure and guidance you need to help them thrive. With no live lessons or set schedules, you’ll have the freedom to support your child’s learning at a pace that suits your family.

What subjects are included?
Our Primary courses cover core subjects like English, Maths and Science, alongside options such as History, Geography and Art. See our Lower and Upper Primary course pages for full lists of all courses available at each level.

You’ll receive regular feedback from Tutors on assignments, plus ongoing support from your Student Progress Manager to help your child stay on track.
How much time will I need to support my child?
In Lower Primary, your active involvement is essential, as you’ll guide your child through their daily activities. Once they reach Upper Primary level, they’ll begin to take more ownership of their learning.
Will my child be able to socialise with other students?
Yes. Our Primary students can take part in a range of fun, age-appropriate clubs, competitions and community activities through our online platform. These help children connect with others around the world, share their interests, and build friendships in a safe, supportive environment.
What equipment will my child need?
Our Primary courses are delivered through our online student learning platform, so your child will need a computer and reliable internet access. Some materials can be downloaded for offline use.
